These are the official holidays that still remain in 2021

This 2021 will not have so many national holidays as there were in 2020. However, they are still just as expected dates to be able to break with the tedious routine.

Even so, of the eleven festive days this year only eight will be held jointly. On the other hand, the autonomous communities can move the other three remaining holidays on the calendar.

National holidays

Holidays in all the autonomous communities according to the Official State Gazette:

Friday, April 2, 2021: Holy Friday.

Saturday, May 1, 2021: Work party.

Tuesday, October 12, 2021: National Holiday of Spain.

Monday, November 1, 2021: All Saints.

Monday, December 6, 2021: Spanish Constitution Day.

Wednesday, December 8, 2021: Immaculate Conception’s Day.

Saturday, December 25, 2021: Nativity of the Lord.

Holidays that can be moved on the calendar:

Wednesday, January 6, 2021: the communities decided to keep the day of the Epiphany of the Lord

Thursday, April 1: It is Holy Thursday and only Catalonia and the Valencian Community have decided to move it until the 5th, which is Easter Day and falls on Monday.

Monday August 16, 2021: it is the Monday after the Assumption of the Virgin. This holiday will only be celebrated in Andalusia, Aragon, Asturias, the Canary Islands and Castilla y León. The rest of the autonomies have chosen to move the holiday to other days of the year so that it does not fall on Sunday.
