The Converse shoes or All star They are a very versatile type of footwear, since it can be used on countless occasions and with styles and outfits very different. And is that these sports are also used for looks casual or there are even those who dress them in a suit to provide a groundbreaking touch. Still, one of the most tedious things about having a Converse is put the laces on them when we buy them or, for example, after washing them. Therefore, at OneHowTo we want to offer you two alternatives about how to lace up Converse sneakers.
Steps to follow:
1
OPTION 1: cross laces
The first step to place the laces of your Converse will be pass it through the bottom eyelets all the way, paying attention so that the length is the same on both sides. In this way, the central part of the cord will be passed through the eyelets.

2
Next, you must take the end of the cord located on the left side and cross it to the second buttonhole on the opposite side, that is, right. You can choose between taking it from the bottom up -as in the image- or from the top down.

3
Next, you will have to do the same with the other end of the cord of your All Star, so that from the right side it will cross over to the left buttonhole.

4
You must repeat this action alternating the laces, always crossing them from one side to the other alternately: left to right, right to left, etc.

5
To finish, you will only have to tense from the ends so that they are not wrinkled and you will have already placed the laces of your Converse shoes.

6
OPTION 2: straight laces
An alternative when putting the laces on your Converse or All Star will be to do it without crossing them, but making them stay horizontally. To do this, you should also start by passing the lace through the eyelets closest to the toe of the shoe, ensuring that both sides are equally long.

7
As a first step, you should take the extreme right and pull it out through the next buttonhole on the same side, that is, keep it to the right and so that it cannot be seen where it passes.
The left end for the moment we leave it as it is, coming out of the first buttonhole on the left, without further ado.

8
Next, that same cord on the right side you must make it reach the second buttonhole on the left side. In this way, it will be horizontal and parallel to the one we went through in the first place.

9
Now take the cord on the left side and make it come out from underneath towards the third buttonhole on the left side, so that it will not be seen where the cord comes from either.

10
Then – as we have done before with the other end – bring the lace on the left side to the buttonhole in front of the opposite side: from the third left buttonhole to the third right, parallel to the previous ones.
In the same way, the left end must come out through an eyelet higher than the side it is on, so that it can then be crossed horizontally again.

And repeating these steps you will get place the laces of your Converse shoes so that they are straight and without it being seen how they are passed from one side to the other.
