Beautiful Thin Hair Choppy Bob

Fine hair choppy layers make your thin hair look full-bodied as one-length cuts could weigh your hair and make it look too flat and dragging. Bangs especially help you get a much fuller body look when textured. How would you characterize this look?

Lovely Long Choppy Bob

This is a shaggy look that’s textured and piecey. We styled her using a flat iron to produce the natural-looking beach waves and by adding the rose gold color we added some spice to her natural color. Any advice that someone thinks about it? To preserve the fashion tone, you will need to use a color-safe shampoo and continue to use cool water to wash it. The look’s styling section is very simple because it shouldn’t look perfect so don’t overthrow curling it. After doing flat iron curls, a texture / sea salt spray would be nice to spray in to give it that allled feel.

How would you characterize this look? This is a jawline bob with a strong texture layer and a smooth disconnect line. It is meant for a lifestyle of wake-up-and-go. The suggestions that someone feels about it? This cut is perfect for the texture of the fine-medium hair and the thickness of the medium skin. Using aproduct is optional as this is a haircut kitchen sink. It’s all about the hair cut and it works on any faceshape. Live!

Sweet Bob CroppedColors in style are more difficult to maintain, so I would stress the importance of maintaining them. I’d suggest the shampoo and conditioner Aveda’s color. Using Aveda’s Phomollient for keeping and Smooth Infusion type preparation for heat control and then flat seal with a Mason Pearson brush beginning with the fringe for the straight look. Warm the ends with a flat iron to make them stay straight and finish with a spray from Air Control.

Stylish Choppy Bob

QA with Brooklyn NY Freelance Stylist Makeup Artist How would you describe this look? This is a fluffy shag with a root shadow and bright balayage blonde and baby lights. This customer has moved from a bleach and tone to a lower maintenance and healthier color for growing length. We wanted to do a soft shag because it would fit well with its natural wavy texture requiring minimal heat treatment to get her hair to grow as healthy as possible. The layers on the ends are fairly weightless and soft to allow maximum growth between cuts without it really looking awkward. We used her previous blonde to fill in the shadow root and used her natural color to incorporate some babylights to bring the two together. To balance the contrast between light and dark, we kept the tone very cool. The suggestions that someone feels about it? I am a firm believer that for any face shape you can make almost any slice. It’s just about where you’re putting your weight and form around your head. Bangs are difficult if you have a big cowlick, but they can shake up a look to complement everyone. I also recommend it to consumers who don’t want a big cut, but want something that really feels different. I find shags that work best for anyone with even the smallest hair bend. With a little texture mist, it looks better on day 2 but is pretty much a wash and wear and low maintenance except for bang trims. All cut and color have been designed to minimize upkeep and I hope this look will work for nearly everyone. Whenever I get a new color, my biggest advice is to think about and go from there about your budget and maintenance needs.

Hairdresser Choppy Layered Bob

QA This look is a lived-in soft wave style. The way it is styled is more of a modern day bob where it is dry cut for the choppy bob feel to really see the haircut being developed and textured. I like the outcome and the look of the next day! You should run your hands through your hair and make sure you don’t mess it up. I’m supporting that. The suggestions that someone feels about it? Using 1 and 1/4 inch curling iron to move waves back and forth and leave about one inch out. Then use spray texture and run through your fingers to create a soft, lived-in feeling. It doesn’t have to be perfect! The great thing about this style! It’s a sexy modern all-encompassing look that can make anyone look great!

Fabulous Bob Haircut Short ChoppyThinner and finer styles of hair need grittier items such as sea salt spray or textured cream. For general, thick and coarser hair needs a wax-containing material to produce a peicey feel. This look can be dried or smoothed to perfection by air-dried hand. Have fun with it and don’t worry about showing your neck!

QA How would you characterize this look? This look is a one-length comb textured bob. This guest had a baby and her long hair was tired. Many people who have just had a baby have very little time to keep their hair and long hair can get in the way, making it easy for the baby to catch. It’s fun and easy to look at. It’s up-to-date and on trend of what’s happening now in magazines and celebrities. It’s a nice way to make a difference without much involvement. I scanned her hair as well and generated a feeling of living in with her blonde. The blonde and darker root aspect also gives her hair an elevated look. The balayage is what I love about this theme. Thanks to how low maintenance it is, it is one of my favorite methods. It can easily transition from summer to fall when looking and feeling fresh and looks great straight or curled. The suggestions that someone feels about it? Choose a working distance for you. A bob can touch your shoulder or be as short as your nose. If you have a round face shape, your face may be elongated by a bob on the longer side. You can go with a shorter style if you have an oval shape. Styling this look can be extremely low maintenance or, if you like, can be styled every day. This bob is perfect to create a fuller, more complete look for fine to medium skin. The thicker your body, the more texturizing it may take you out of weight. How would you characterize this look?

Sassy Stacked Bob

A modern take on a classic haircut that was up-to-date since the graduated bob was produced nearly 60 years ago. It is a timeless look that, whether worn straight or wavy, produces form movement and size. The highlight of this look is the disconnected ban running through the lower half of the haircut adding extra structure for softness without the need to texture and collapse the form theoretically. The subdued tones of a natural palette contribute to the look’s softness while the baby lights up the surface with a subtle dimension throughout the front accent. QA Stylist / Makeup Artist Educator How are you going to describe this look? This style is a bob with a bolder edgy edge, layered and textured. I love the fringe most because it turns something special into something otherwise trendy and simpler bob. The fringe is this look’s greatest investment otherwise it can be easy to keep! Whether you choose to air dry blow dry or iron, most of the fringe hair styling should complete the look! For easy maintenance, many salons offer inexpensive if not free bang trims between cuts!

Highlights

How do you explain this look? This is a bob that’s textured. I added layers and different techniques of texture to establish body and hair movement. I used a 1-inch curling iron in alternating directions to give it the beachy wave look for extra texture. I love it’s versatility. You may wear this beachy and messy or smoothed out and polished due to the techniques I used for layering. The natural highlighting is a good addition to this look by adding an extra dimension so I would certainly suggest adding dimension to your hair if you don’t already have one with your skin. Think about your lifestyle and daily routine things. How much effort do you want to put in your hair in the morning? The hair can play into how much time you spend on makeup depending on the type of texture. If you have natural curly or wavy hair, I would suggest a slightly longer styled bob to look around this length when worn curly but longer when smoothed. With the curling iron, of course, smooth and perfect hair would need extra attention. With the right tools and services, this can be a very easy style to achieve. I used all Aveda products primarily for volumizing and texture products to achieve this look. My two favorite hair products I used are Aveda’s Volumizing Tonic added to her lift roots and Aveda’s Texture Tonic, a sea salt and sugar spray that adds texture and shine. For extra shine, the Shine Tonic is added wet and dry given that her hair strand was smoother. As far as fashion is concerned, if you often have to pull your hair back I would highly recommend a bob with a longer look than this. You may be able to pull it up halfway but this wouldn’t be the right length for you if you’re someone who’s bothered by the hair on your neck when it’s in a ponytail.

Hairdresser Long Bob

QA How would you describe this look? The suggestions that someone feels about it? Length styling and cosmetics are the three most important factors in achieving this beachy summer body. Making sure this bob is cut above the shoulders is so important! Once the hair reaches the shoulders, it appears to flip up and give a completely different look to the cut and form! My absolute best trick for shaping short hair beach waves is to make the ends of your hair flat iron first. Go through the middle section of your hair and wave it with either a flat iron or a wand. For my 3 go-to brands, I couldn’t fashion beach waves! Aveda Air Control Dry Shampoo and Texture Tonic make your dreams made of the beach hair!

How would you describe this look? This is a modern look on the rocker chick from Joan Jett. For lots of short to long layers throughout the cut, a thick fringe falls beautifully into face-framing layers. The suggestions that someone feels about it? The natural texture of this particular guest is perfect but very dense with a small natural wave. She preferred a shaggy type of edgier. The razor helped me very easily to remove weight from the ends of her hair. With a paddle brush, I was able to blow the hair out and touch it lightly with a flat iron for low maintenance. With natural texture, this theme would also fit well. I’d just wear the fringe a little longer for more of a messy shag. How would you characterize this look?

Edgy Choppy Bob with Bangs

QA with Stylist The cut is a gentle bob with bangs of point cut. It’s just perfect and quick to style the mix. The color is a free hand balayage blonde ash caramel that shadows the roots afterwards. The suggestions that someone feels about it?How are you going to describe this look? My favorite part of this haircut is that, although it has soft edges and perfectly falls together, I eliminated the bulk from the inside. The color was put visually and applied by hand to emphasize the softness. The suggestions that someone feels about it? This cut and color is ideal for those with thicker hair. It falls loosely so it is perfect for wearing with a natural wave or for a change it can be blow dried smoothly. All materials used are products from Wella Pro. Textured Bob for Thick Hair

How would you describe this look? The weight is raised by friction on this textured bob. I slice shallow Vs into ends to maintain the shape’s integrity, being careful not to over-texturize it. On most face shapes, I like to keep the weight higher to raise the sightline instead of dragging it down. I was mindful of keeping the widest portion of the haircut away for balance from the widest portion of the face shape. The suggestions that someone feels about it? Using a golfball-sized amount of L’anza Custom Foam with one L’anza Healing Oil pump mixed in, this look was done with a round brush blow out. In order to give a sexy undone look, we finished massaging a small dab of L’anza Taffy. ‘

If you already have some wavy texture on your hair, this look is great to bring it out, but otherwise it could be a bit of high maintenance. For starters, I wouldn’t recommend this look for someone with extra curly hair. The normal texture of my customer decreases the maintenance of this slice. I suggest adding a spray of texture to really describe the textured layers and it may be appropriate to dry the fringe. How would you characterize this look?

One-Length Choppy Bob with Soft Layers

QA with Hairdresser I would characterize this look as a one-length bob with long soft layers produced using carving feathering techniques and channel cutting techniques to add maximum body and make the cut easy to style. My favorite thing about it looks like it’s super easy and fast to wear! The suggestions that someone feels about it?

Effortless Dark Chocolate BrownShagged Bob

Instagram QA with Master Stylist I love this look as it is still beautiful in appearance. Teaching customers is one of my passions because I believe it’s one of the simpler quests for them to duplicate at home. The suggestions that someone feels about it? For texture items like Aveda’s Texture Tonic before blow drying and Aveda’s Dry Shampoo after blow drying and thermal styling, this look is achievable. For someone with little get ready time who still wants to look together, this style is best.

Choppy Blunt Layer Platinum Bob

Owner / Stylist Instagram QA How would you describe this look? It would characterize this look as a choppy bob. It contains several blunt layers that give it a very textured look throughout. This look is ideal for those who want to lose some weight with thick hair. The flexibility of this look is my favorite thing. With a curling iron, it can be worn polished and straight waved or referred to a funky design. This particular cut has textured side bangs but is also going to work on those who want to hold the front longer.
Classic Choppy Bob with Modern Edge

This client had super thick hair so we cut her hair with a slightly separated layer into a choppy bob. It’s a very chic look. This way we shaved her hair in order to minimize the thickness without losing the straight edge. On all hair types, this look can be done. I love the texture in the hair (deep slices) because it reveals the strength of the tones. Any suggestions that someone feels about it? This style is definitely low for straight hair upkeep, although it can also be worn curly or in waves. Many face shapes will pull this look off. But just keep the cut a little longer if you have a square jaw. This is a modern classic bob! Instagram How would you characterize this look?

Medium length Choppy Bob with Blonde Highlights

This is a blunt angled bob with layers of ground and texture. I wanted to create a strong baseline with a light layer that was sleek when straightened but when curled had a ton of motion and choppiness. My favorite part of how it turned out is how much the final result had TEXTURE and volume! It absolutely sums up my style as a stylist and how I’d wear my hair. Any suggestions that someone feels about it? To achieve this look, there are three things I would say are a must: a 1-inch curling iron wet texture spray and a dry wax finish spray. I begin to build this style’s texture and choppiness when it’s towled dry by spraying L’Oreal Professionnel Perfect Texture from the roots to the ends throughout the face. I dry the hair loosely, meaning I don’t use a comb and over-direct every side of the hair when drying. It makes not being so perfect for the end result. How are you going to describe this look? I’d characterize this look as a choppy-lived, effortless bob. This particular cut has a mix of layering and graduation. My favorite thing about this haircut is that it is very flexible in reality. Whatever your natural shape may be, wear it twisted straight wavy. In a little item, you can even hop out of bed and be ready to go! The suggestions that someone feels about it? My suggestion to someone looking at this look is not to be afraid of playing with it. Switch your role play with headbands tucking one side behind your ear using curling irons of different sizes, there are plenty of choices.

Jet Black Choppy Bob

Instagram QA with Freelance Hairstylist I would describe this look as simple and ideal for someone who has five minutes to get out of the door in the morning. I love it being put together but at the same time disheveled. The style is balanced and it’s very trendy as well. What items would you suggest for this look to be preserved and recreated? I used a heat / conditioner leave-in protector called UNITE 7 Seconds when cold. I also applied some UNITE Boosta which is a spray of volume providing touchable texture and keeping. It smells awesome! Form an L with your arm and from that distance spray both things, then blow them in. I’ve done waving with UNITE’s Texturiza. I used a flat ironto to generate undone waves in just 2/3 sections and to reverse the wave pattern (back / forward). You don’t want this look to be flawless so that some pieces can be straighter than others and that’s all right. Use the Texturiza brush to spray it all over with your fingertips and you’re done! I feel like anyone could wear this style for your look, you might just need to change it. It’s easy to maintain and it’s going to last all day!

I think my favorite thing about this look is that styling is so easy and it looks beachy and chic without any effort. What items would you suggest for this look to be preserved and recreated? Use just a few sprays of sea salt spray after styling. I really like Fudge’s salt spray! How would you describe this look and what’s your favorite thing about it? It’s such a fun and textured feel. I love how flexible it can be, but it’s easy. With a little curl, it can be worn straight or you can let your hair do its own thing! No matter what the cut shape gives it a straightforward style. This cut makes it easy for anyone to look at home in a salon-style way! What products do you recommend for this look to be maintained and recreated? Sprinkle Anti. Gravity on wet hair by Kevin Murphy and dry it in the head. This material combines heat safety and light grip. Use a curling iron or flat iron after hair is dried to create waves in the skin. What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? This is such a popular theme, and on anyone it looks fabulous! With fine or medium hair, this style is best.
