QA with the owner of the stylist How would you describe this look? This look is a vivid blonde hair contouring balayage. Obviously, the hair of this client is light, so I added specific pieces of color to make her highlights show like when you’d make up your face. The suggestions that someone feels about it? This is a great style for someone who is already blonde but who wants to add in depth and dimension. It’s ideal for hair that has been over-highlighted throughout the summer and wants to bring more depth while still looking like a blonde. Beachy Blonde Hair with Brown Lowlights

QA with Hairstylist

How would you describe this look? The best thing about this hair is the whole aspect of the root that still makes it look new between visits to the salon. The suggestions that someone feels about it? If you want the highlights of this look and the spray of texture is your best friend. Highlights offer some natural base color to the sunkished California skin. Highlighting your hair will also give you more of a texture to keep those loose beach waves on your own. A gloss spray or a very elastic hairspray retains the waves and has a matte finish on the hair that looks like it’s all day on the beach in the sand and salt water.

Colorist QA

How would you characterize this look? I love the scale and the various tones. Thanks to the sunshine and exposure to the elements in the world, hair naturally has several tones in it. The advice that someone thinks about it? This look can be worn by anyone. The beauty behind it is that their hair texture and skin tone can be customized for absolutely anyone and their lifestyle. By creating some lighter pieces around the face and enhancing those with some darker pieces throughout the hair, we can improve the skin tone with this hand painting technique. What makes it look so low-maintenance is the mixing of the different tones. In this hairstyle, the different colors can generate movement and make fine hair look fuller. I will suggest the Eufora Bodifying Shampoo and Conditioner with the Damage Repair Complex and Vibrant Color Complex as well as any other hair color service to help restore hair and provide color retention. Using the Eufora Color Locking System created with the Sculpture Styling Glaze and the Illuminate Shine Mist combining these two will close the cuticle completely and seal the follicle for optimum preservation of color. It’s the ultimate ice blonde lived in. This is for consumers who want the confident and stylish look of the blonde bombshell but who have more busy lives and can’t commit to the daily routine maintenance schedule. In order to get that super light and sleek blonde and bold money part, this is done by balayage + babylights (foils). Also by adding some depth lowlights and mixing a shadow root to make it easier to expand. Any advice that someone thinks about it? This look is great because for almost anyone it can work! If your lifestyle is hectic, it will give you extra time to go until your next visit. The bright blonde is ideal for bold styles of personality and even a more laid-back person (it could get them out of their comfort zone).

Dark Blonde Base

QA with Hairstylist This particular customer had about eight months of recovery and faded ends. I wanted to keep her light and shiny, but I also added a dark blonde base color to keep it natural as it grows. I searched and foiled in babylights to meet the blonde. I wanted to keep it simple for the slice, but with a lot of texture. I like you see different color variations that give it a natural look throughout the blondes and lowlights. The suggestions that someone feels about it? It is easy to fashion this kind of look. If you wear it straight or add some beachy waves, the length fits well on almost every face shape and is perfect on fine to medium hair textures. Basically, if you’re a natural dark blonde and you want to brighten it up, but it’s a great style for you to mix in your regrowth.

How would you characterize this look? As we added lowlights, I would characterize this look as easy to maintain and very organic. It’s a look that many people can pull off if they have time or not to style their hair that’s my favorite thing about this look. The suggestions that someone feels about it? Some advice I would give to a client who is considering this look would be to remember that it could be a challenge to do depending on their hair color. The good thing, though, is that this look is perfect for any type of hair and face shape. A sulfate and paraben-free color-protecting shampoo would be the best product to maintain this feel. If you’ve got a laid back attitude and an easy lifestyle, this look would be great for you!The suggestions that someone feels about it? For a busy lifestyle, this lower maintenance look is great.

Master Stylist Director Dimensional Blonde

QA How would you describe this look? My absolute favorite is Dimensional Blondes! My client came in with an all-blonde look and needed more dimension to be cooler. She also wanted to get away with sitting in between appointments for longer. With foils, we did a full scan on her and did a 7 p on all that was left out. My favorite thing about this look is to make her hair look more complete and give her the dimension she wants. To have messy, effortless hair, she doesn’t have to style it every day. The suggestions that someone feels about it? I think this look is fantastic for anyone who needs something new or just wants a full hair look. Each scanning is different depending on the type of face and the placement of lowlights. You want to show the features of your client! We wanted to stretch her face in this case so we put the blonde higher around her face with lowlights highlighting her cheekbones. It’s an utter must to preserve this purple shampoo look. It only keeps everything cool and fresh. My favorite violet shampoo is Pure Blonde Layer. I think this is a great look for anyone who can’t get into the living room as often as they want, but who wants to feel blonde around their face for a long time! I recommend getting refreshed every eight weeks, but some of my customers move it up to 12 weeks and still love their hair!

Blonde Vibe

QA with Repentigny QC Hairdresser How would this look be described? This is a lovely way to get into the blonde vibe without compromising your locks ‘ health and strength. What I like most about this look is certainly the scale and scope it offers while making it so simple and quick in the salon. A ton more than classic highlights would definitely stand out! Make it an effort! This is a great way to do it if you’re used to normal highlights and want to brighten up your global look or if you have fine hair and are looking for a way to add thickness and texture to it. Lowlights look beautiful on any blonde style but darker tones as well. This hair technique looks good on some fast loose curls with either naturally wavy hair or even a quick dry blast. During the winter, lowlights are great to rock as they usually are on the cooler side. With the white snowy days they will surely pop! There are so many benefits to this method, why don’t you try it?

Warm, low-light blondeHowever, hair care is essential for all long hair. We prescribe from time to time a conditioner and a hair mask. Highlights

How do you explain this look? This is a highlighted shadow root color. A customer had come in from a previously overprocessed blonde highlight with two inches of outgrowth and was searching for a more natural look that would soften their outgrowth in the future. The suggestions that someone feels about it? A comprehensive consultation with your stylist is my recommendation for clients looking to try a shadow center. This customer wants to be light and blonde but hasn’t wanted the same outgrowth as her previous highlight service. This look is great for those who want to make a subtle change from their normal highlights and who want to be part of the new trends as well.

Dimensional Honey Blonde Hair Color

How are you going to describe this look and what is your favorite? I’d describe this look as a honey blonde with natural lowlights blended in size. My favorite thing about this look is how lowlight placement adds contour to create a fake shadow core while highlights hold illumination around the face and across the layers. Which items do you suggest that this look be created and maintained? It is best to design the lowlights within a two-level range of the natural color of your guest to create this look. With Paul Mitchells Synchro Lift and 20vol, and Paul Mitchell Color xg 20grams 7nb 10grams 6n and 10vol, I highlighted for this company. I finished toning with Paul Mitchell The Demi 1 oz 9 g 1 oz 9N and processing solution in the bowl after shampooing. What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? For guests looking for a medium maintenance color, this style is best suited. The color is ideal for hair of any length and the dimension will actually create a thinner hair thickness illusion. I would incorporate more highlights in the crown area on naturally curly blonde hair. Golden blondes are best suited to warm undertones of fair complexion. For any lifestyle that allows for pretty hair, this style would be suitable. It looks great done with a sleek blowout or a beach wave of sweeping waves.

Dimensional scanningTo create and maintain this look, what items do you recommend? I recommend a good violet shampoo and a heat-protective to preserve this look. In the case of my client, I used the Blonde. Angel shampoo from Kevin Murphy and followed the Blonde. Angel treatment. This is a beautiful purple shampoo and keeping her toner and lowlights longer is also sulfate-free. I also used Kevin Murphy Untangled, a spray-in and heat-protective conditioner. I use Kevin Murphy’s Anti. Gravity for volume and Doo. Over for extra volume and texture to style because her hair texture is perfect. I used a tapered wand and took one inch pieces to create such loose waves. I’d rather use the Neuro Wand of Paul Mitchell. What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? For people with shoulder length or longer hair, this type of look works best. I do a lot of scanning and most of my customers have a lob (long bob) or longer hair. For people with a natural level of 6 or darkest blonde hair level, I recommend this unless the customer has a high contrast look.

Transitional Blonde Hair Color

QA with Hairstylist I’d say this look is fun and looks as far as the color goes without effort. I love it looks dimensional, but it also has a shadowed root so it’s not as harsh as it looks when you get highlights. It’s more of a transition. To create and maintain this look, what items do you recommend? I certainly recommend shampoos that are sulfate-free and color-safe! My favorite shampoo is Kevin Murphy’s Repair. Me wash and rinse along with the treatment for Blonde. Angel. With colored hair, shampoo is vital because it definitely helps keep the color in contact and prevents the color from fading too quickly or becoming brassy. I still recommend that my blonde customers use a purple shampoo or treatment to help keep a beautiful blonde color at home! What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? It just has enough size to create movement, particularly when it is worn in a beach wave. The shadowed root helps to make it look more natural, allowing the growout to be smoother and deliberate.

Double Toned Blonde

Overall high-lift blonde look is a cool way to transition. To split your hair color, apply some medium ash / sandy blonde lowlights. It’s a fun color to twist into a braided style updo or textured. Sharp, fine hair (level 8 and above) typically benefits most from lowlights of level 7-8. Tip: Use a broad barrel iron (vertical position) to create long beautiful waves and loosen them with your fingertips.

Adorable Asymmetrical Chin Length Bob

How do you explain this look? I think it’s such a new cut. Because of its coloring background, it’s great for my company. She’s done so much coloring and bleaching before and getting rid of those dry ends was perfect for her! I love this asymmetry, and I feel that this perfectly complements the new color. The suggestions that someone feels about it? I assume it would have straight or wavy hair for the perfect client for this cut. This style is very flexible and can be worn effortlessly or with waves on the beach. If you have wavy hair, use a paddle brush and a round brush to get a cleaner look to blow this quickly. Make sure the stylist has at least 3 if you like the asymmetry? Difference in size from left to right. Anything less, and it looks like an error!

QA Owner Master Stylist How are you going to explain this look? This is an unusual modern fun bob.New Chin Length Hairstylist / Colorist Choppy Bob

QA How would you describe this look? In particular, this customer has always thrown my way funky ideas, so it’s always a good time to cut and style her. Any advice that someone thinks about it? The better the wild. For any kind of short fun hairstyle, Texturizing spray and volumizing powder are my go-to’s. The short bangs are in addition to the style of the client. On everyone, they don’t have to be cut.

New Wave Chin Length Bob with Bangs

Hairstylist / Barber Instagram QA How would you describe this look? I describe this look as a blunt cut 60s bob approach to a new wave. I like the look is a little retro, but it throws the bob undercut shaved all the way around in a modern touch. This also takes a lot of weight from the very long and thick hair of my model. The stronger the thicker the body. Much of the thickness of my model has been removed where we shaved it below, so if a client has thinner hair, it will completely remove the bluntness we achieved with the rest of her body. I’m always looking for a style like this for someone with straighter hair. Giving straight hair structure is much easier than smoothing curlier hair to reveal the chin’s blunt bob line. It’s very easy for her to manage this style on her own because my model has the straight hair. If you have the straight thick almost coarse hair that my model has, by using a few different products, I would achieve the style. Right now I love all around EVO hair products. I threw a few End Doctor (which is a smoothing sealant) before blowing drying in Day of Grace. Get the hair dry with a round brush and blow dryer but only smooth out the hair parts that tend to become fluffy. Once it is cool, you can also worry about getting this undone texture with EVO’s salt spray from Salty Dog. Scrunch just a little into the hair in sections let it dry then use a flat iron to create a slight bend across the head by pulling straight down a hair section with the iron while bending the iron in and out slightly. With your hands brush through the hair and you’re done!

Owner / Stylist Instagram QA How would this look be described? This look celebrates the sophistication of everything that characterizes a bob. It’s precise yet fun and deconstructed, yet competent and yet innovative classic. Now it’s the best part. Have the mirror handed to you by your stylist and say hello to anyone you want to be.

Instagram How would you describe this look? Blunt Bob

This look is a blunt bob with a lot of texture in the chin length. We bleached it out, giving it some hues of rose and peach. I love the color and the length on her! The suggestions that someone feels about it? The skin of this client is very dense and she’s got a lot of it. This tends to make it look even better for a blunt chin-length bob! Although most of this length is very flattering, it still has to be noted. Usually, if your hair has a wave or is thick, less upkeep will be needed and less styling effort will be required. Use a wider barreliron if you have straight hair to give it a nice wave. And, of course, hairspray! For those who work out and need it off their head, this look is also super cute half up! Blunt Chin-Length Bob

How would you describe this look? I love the color, too. I used the demi-permanent color of L’Oreal Diarichesse to darken it to a 3/4 and then applied a copper / gold splash. It gives an amazing shine to her body. The suggestions that someone feels about it? With oval heart shapes or inverted triangle face shapes, this look is great. This extends the jawline and chin with a slighter chin for those face shapes. I made this cut on a number of hair types, but I’d hesitate to make this cut on someone with really thick and/or curly hair. Wavy hair customers shouldn’t be afraid of this break! It’s so easy to be flexible to go straight to wavy. I’d scrunch in a thick mousse to look like this wavy theme. I love R+Co’s Pomade Mousse aircraft. Add some styling cream before blowing dry to style this look smooth and straight. I love Blowout Balm R+Co City. Instagram QA with Hairstylist How would you describe this look?

The best way I can describe this look is simple chic. My client’s hair is on the fine side, so the perfect option for maximum completeness is a blunt bob with no layers.

Creative Stylist Instagram QA How are you going to describe this look? This look I’d describe as a blunt cut bob with blunt bangs. My favorite thing about this cut is how it is presented with a little sass by the person wearing it classy and edgy. It is always going to stand out in a house. The bob of chin length is perfect for a strong jawline and cheekbones to show off. When contemplating a bob, it’s good to keep your face shape in mind. You want your bob to be no shorter than mid-neck for roundor square face shapes to draw attention away from the jaw or cheeks. There will be a lot of work involved in styling this style if you have curly hair and don’t like to wear it curly. Any bob can be worn with textured curly hair and look awesome. This cut can be made by clients with straight hair and it’s very low maintenance. Keep in mind the upkeep of cutting them often and styling them everyday while determining if you want bangs. I love styling this cut with a lightweight oil for shine and a mousse for atouchable look with a thermal protective cream.

Hair / Make-up / Lash Designer Sci-Fi Bob

Instagram QA How would you describe this look and what is your favorite thing about it? That’s my own Sci-Fi Bob definition. For through weight, it is a blunt, slightly angled razor bob with inner layering. To accentuate the blunt ends and look quickly, the hair on top should be long enough. I love how each person’s cut is a little different. Using a razor allows me to sculpt and shape the cut to the bone structure and texture of each person’s hair. It is a dream of washing and wearing low-maintenance style. However, it is necessary to shape appointments more often to maintain the exact look. I used IGK’s Car Service for dry blow protection and control. Use a paddle brush and dryer to tie the hair on one side and then on the other when the hair is nearly dry. This will ensure that the form of the hair is in your eyes. Use a 1-inch curling iron to curl the top half of your hair to keep your hair long. The last one inch of hair to blend with the bottom layer while curling. Prepare the look for a touchable hold with IGK’s Intern Hairspray and work in an Expensive fall to split the curls and add a piecey shine. What kind of customer would you recommend this look for? This look is perfect for anyone looking for something fashionable and simple to replicate at home that doesn’t like to spend a lot of time styling. Particularly this client has finer hair that tends to lay flat. This provides a balance by making her hair shorter, which gives the illusion of fuller skin.

Stylist / Colorist Instagram QA How would you describe this look and what is your favorite? This is a bob with a slight angle on the chin length. This look I love because it’s sophisticated yet sexy for me.
Hairstylist Texturized Blunt Bob

QA How would you describe this look and what’s your favorite thing about it? Classy but still low maintenance, this haircut. Since there is a lot of texture, but not a ton of layering, a lot of styling is not needed. This look is ideal for any client who wants to embrace their textured hair with wavy or curly hair. I love it accentuates the natural texture of the customer while still appearing playful and put together. The short fringe adds a softer face frame to this look to match the bob’s square shape. It has a more lived-in feel as it is cut completely with a razor. What items would you suggest for this look to be preserved and recreated? I love the new salt spray Sail from R+Co to finish it off. It’s more of a wet spray of aerosol that roughs up enough curls while still leaving them smooth and not crunchy. You can also restyle the waves with Sail on dry second-day hair! What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? This style will work best for someone with naturally curly or wavy hair who likes to dry air or spread their hair. It’s perfect for consumers who still want a vibrant look for low maintenance. I often think that a classic bob is ideal for any face shape as you can slightly change the length or form of fringe to match its unique features.

Hairstylist Instagram QA How would you describe this look and what is your favorite? This look would be described as an alternative to the classic bob. This gives it a sleek and trendy look by cutting the bob chin-length and graduating the nape. The deep side part with a thick fringe that brings drama to the cut is my favorite thing about this style.

Meagan Eldridge Stylist How are you going to describe this look and what is your favorite? In order to help create and maintain this, which items do you recommend? I always start with Brilliant Damage Control for thermal safety and ease of manipulation to help maintain a look like this. I followed with our Pure Abundance Style Prep and Volumizing Tonic to get the grip and volume I needed to see on her silky fine hair. I chose Shampure Dry Shampoo for more of a matte finishand added texture to finish and give it a more alluring feel. Instead I attached Air Control Hairspray’s thin veil to wear. What kind of person would work best for this? This style can be enjoyed by any type of hair or personality. This shape is easy to maintain for any lifestyle, whether you want something sassy and fun or polished and professional. What’s your best tip for someone who thinks about this or has this already? The best way to recreate this style at home would be to start with a pre-dry after applying the product and then use a flat wrap technique (which moves the hair around the head in both directions) until the hair is about 90% dry. At this point, re-section the hair and style to create bounce and shine with a flat iron or round brush. Then, until it is completely dry, you can tie your hair flat and use your flat iron to produce some really fun texture and movement.

The Beach Girl Bob

Funky-Fun Girl Bob

2. Safe hair leaving a section of one inch to start round brushing. 3. Using a circular brush 2 inches in diameter smooth out each section by keeping about 1 inch from the section of a blow dryer. To build a body of fine hair, use a boar bristle to smooth out thick coarse hair or a metal round comb. 4. Complete with a smoothing serum. I want Unite Boosta Spray for the body at the heart. Enjoy Hair and Skin Treatment Oil is great to put into smooth hair before and after the blowout. It will certainly be easier for people with fine straight hair to round brush hair. Kinky messy frizzy hair is a challenge more than that. This hairstyle is going to soften the shapes of the round eyes. Tips: If you start when your hair is a bit dry, you’ll have a much easier time round brushing. Until beginning, I recommend letting the hair dry. When round brushing, be sure to over-direct hair.

The Full-Fringe Bob The focus is on the front with this style! Even if you don’t already have clear bangs trimmed, this style can still work because your hair is already quite short with a chin length bob.

Steps How-to: 1. After washing and conditioning hair, both sides of your head build a very deep layer. Be sure to do this before your hair is dried. 3. When the bangs are about 80% dry, they start to dry to the right side. This technique ensures that any cowlicks are smoothed out and produces the swoopy look as well. 4. Use the rest of your hair to dry. For this style, a good finishing hairspray will be crucial. I like Hairspray 25 from Kenra Volume. Best Face Shapes and Styles of Hair:

The Mohawk Bob

This style is perfect for a city night out. You can completely transform your day’s hair into night’s hair with surprisingly little work! 1769.jpg
The Big Sexy Curled Bob

This style will easily turn a normal bob into a fancy shmancy!

Steps How-to: 1. Start with the hair clean. Be sure to leave your bangs out in order to replicate the above look. 2. Safe hair leaving for curling a one-inch segment. A 1? For this hairstyle, curling iron is fine. 3. Spray each segment before curling with a light hairspray. 4. Complete with a good hairspray grip. Bumble and Bumble Does It All Hairspray is perfect before you curl to spray on your hair. Best Face Shapes and Hair Types: This style should fit well for everyone as any face shape is softened by the curls. Tips: Hold the curling iron on a lower heat to avoid damaging your skin. Usually for most hair types, the middle heat setting on curling irons works well. You may need to turn the heat up just a little if your hair is coarser. The Flipped Out Bob

This simple style is great for everyday wear and gives some instant sass to your chin-length hair! This look will become an instant favorite if your hair has some layers. ‘
