What I love about it is how many variants of this look can be found depending on the shape and style of the head of the client. Another aspect that I love is that styling is so easy! Allowing the texture to dry air makes it possible to look wavier especially if you are using certain products. The color we’ve done on her was a bit bolder than usual. In a different way we wanted to open her face and give her a beautiful rosy / neutral tone. Balayage is extremely low maintenance and ideal for consumers who do not want a lightening system with high commitment. This look is great for someone who doesn’t do anything with their body. The suggestions that someone feels about it? A big thumbs up is the advice I’d send. As I said, this look is great for those consumers who don’t want to mess with their hair but are also good for those who love styling their hair every day. The texture makes for a piecey beachy look throughout the cut. There are so many things to choose from! Using a simple salt spray (I love Ocean Spritz from Wella) will allow texture and wave to be added. Using a dry spray wax like Evo’s She-Bang-a-Bang when dry adds a holding dimension without feeling like a hairspray net. I have customers who enjoy this cut with all the different s. I give them more of a blunt cut when their hair is fine to make a heavier weight line which produces a more full-looking hair head. My customers have thicker skin ahh! That’s my pick. Indeed, with this cut, I prefer a big boxer look so I always ask if they’re down for that. If I don’t, I do a lot of internal layering and texture to make the weight line collapse to prevent a bigger look.
The length of the shoulderTo anyone with medium for thick hair, I would suggest this haircut and style so that a lot of detail can be achieved throughout the cut. I love to tease extra volume in the crown area! I get the wave pattern with a 1 1/2 inch curling iron, but be sure to leave out the ends while curling, which helps to get the messy and more beachy curl. I’m using textured braid powder to grip it as I pull it apart. And last but not least I use a textured spray on the waves to isolate them and make them last the whole day!

She has platinum blonde hair and is a natural level 4 so instead of taking her back to her base color I talked to her in a color melt that would encourage her to still enjoy the hard work we put into that icy blonde while enjoying the benefits that her natural color would offer! Emily has always been a wild card and likes to live life on the edge so I developed a stormy violet for her ends instead of glazing her hair with a traditional honey blonde or platinum, which would make her feel less like she was playing it safe! This cut is a lob that is textured. We’ve all seen it before, but we’re still not sick of it because it looks great on any form of the eyes. There’s something about the length of the collarbone on every neck / jawline that looks stunning and doesn’t make the face of anyone look too round! It looks great straight, but when they first chop their heads, many of my clients ask for the undone beach waves! The suggestions that someone feels about it? It’s cropped effortlessly but not too short, fascinating and flexible textured I love how short it looks to be super sleek and trimmed but long enough to fit in ponytails and trendy updos or half up / half down looks. The suggestions that someone feels about it? One of the most important things I tell my customers is to keep the ends straight. Straighter ends give it a more sleek look and make the haircut look more square as well. This will help balance rounder forms of the face that are usually afraid of going too far. Usually I use a 1 1/4 inch curling iron to get the specific texture, but you may be able to invest in a good sea salt spray and call it a day depending on your texture.

In a few weeks before her paint, my client had come and we made her initial cut from long to short. She wanted something chic and precise that is, of course, a stunning choice for my client to bring out features in her collarbone and jawline. For most shapes of the head, this cut is very contouring. We spoke about her color and she wanted to take on a more vivid and natural rooted look. I did a half-head scan consisting of painting each section with my daily Blick Art Supplies 2 and paintbrush.
