Long Deep Side Part

QA with Jocelyn Rae Buckley Cosmetologist Licensed at Escape Salon Spa in Wildomar Ca How would you describe this look? This look is a modern look that has been textured and undone. Without looking overdone, it has a structure. The most beautiful thing is the spectacular yet wearable angle we gave her cut. I also love the soft textured layers that move and shape her hair. The suggestions that someone feels about it?

For a Round Face

QA with Jenna Pitocco Hair Colorist / Stylist @ Pembley Salon in New York Ny I would describe this look like a blunt textured bob that most of my customers come to me for. What I love about it is how many variants of this look can be found depending on the shape and style of the head of the client. Another aspect that I love is that styling is so easy! Allowing the texture to dry air makes it possible to look wavier especially if you are using certain products. The color we’ve done on her was a bit bolder than usual. In a different way we wanted to open her face and give her a beautiful rosy / neutral tone. Balayage is extremely low maintenance and ideal for consumers who do not want a lightening system with high commitment. This look is great for someone who doesn’t do anything with their body. The suggestions that someone feels about it? A big thumbs up is the advice I’d send. As I said, this look is great for those consumers who don’t want to mess with their hair but are also good for those who love styling their hair every day. The texture makes for a piecey beachy look throughout the cut. There are so many things to choose from! Using a simple salt spray (I love Ocean Spritz from Wella) will allow texture and wave to be added. Using a dry spray wax like Evo’s She-Bang-a-Bang when dry adds a holding dimension without feeling like a hairspray net. I have customers who enjoy this cut with all the different s. I give them more of a blunt cut when their hair is fine to make a heavier weight line which produces a more full-looking hair head. My customers have thicker skin ahh! That’s my pick. Indeed, with this cut, I prefer a big boxer look so I always ask if they’re down for that. If I don’t, I do a lot of internal layering and texture to make the weight line collapse to prevent a bigger look.

The length of the shoulderTo anyone with medium for thick hair, I would suggest this haircut and style so that a lot of detail can be achieved throughout the cut. I love to tease extra volume in the crown area! I get the wave pattern with a 1 1/2 inch curling iron, but be sure to leave out the ends while curling, which helps to get the messy and more beachy curl. I’m using textured braid powder to grip it as I pull it apart. And last but not least I use a textured spray on the waves to isolate them and make them last the whole day!

Of course Curly Hair

QA with Madison Sullivan Hairstylist style creator @ Dop Dop Salon in New York Ny How would you describe this look? It’s a cool and fun feel. I love the makeup and the natural texture of the body. Today, women accept what they naturally have and are not afraid of making bolder impacts, allowing their hair to be a little bigger and wilder and showing more of their personality. Think of the shape of your head. It may not be ideal for you if your face is round this size, but maybe a longer version to elongate your head. Use a curl mousse (I recommend L’Oréal Professional Soft Curls) and an oil to tame any frizz (Mythic Oil from L’Oréal Professional) for naturally curly hair. Twist small sections of your hair in both directions and allow them to dry or diffuse, then shake them out from under your hair with your fingers. If you want to play the texture, use L’Oréal Professionnel’s Perfect Texture on dry hair!

Highlights

QA with Emily Pyper Cosmetologist style creator @ Unity Salon Spa in Salt Lake City Ut How would you describe this look? It’s dimensionally summery and sassy! I love the multidimensional color and there are so many different types of blonde. This is a color that has been done in a few sessions as we like to play a lot with her light! I love the haircut texture and how flattering it is with lots of different and straight curl styles. I love a long bob haircut when customers are looking for it. A good one for any face shape would be so flattering! It enables your stylist to customize texture and layers and fit the perimeter right in place with the jaw and shoulders of your cheekbones. It can be customized so much! If it’s not long enough to pull into a ponytail making a few twists and pinning the front and top back is still easy and cute to pull your hair out of your face until it’s longer. My favorite Davines sea salt spray and Kevin Murphy Bedroom Hair are flexible texture products! I generally go for a big curling iron for a 1.25? It’s a perfect way to quickly make beach curls.

Cutting invertedIf you are considering this cut, if any of your hair, you have to worry about preserving and styling depending on the texture and wave pattern. The customer in the picture has natural straight fine smooth hair so this look has been accomplished with a blow dryer and a fast slide through with a flat iron to bevel the bottom inside to give the rounded look. You’ll need a heat-protective spray and a volumizing mousse or spray if you want volume. I also used a soft airy finish with a powder-based hairspray. I’m using Redken products – Iron Shape heat-protective spray Stay High volumizing mousse and hairspray based on Wind Blown. If you have natural curly hair, if you decide to wear it curly, it will also look great. If you want to straighten your hair styling, however, it may take time. You will need heat-protective spray and smoothening lotion such as heat-protective Iron Shape spray and smoothing lotion Hydramelt.

Blunt Blonde Hair

Asymmetrical

QA with maker design Souvia Senior Stylist Salon Educator @ 30th Salon in San Diego Ca I’d consider this look an asymmetrical lob with a cool modern twist. While leaving the other side as a classic graduated angle lob, I shaved one side for the cut using the scissor-over-comb technique. For this look, I didn’t do the paint. I think it’s a flexible theme. You can rock this look, whether you have curly or straight hair. My favorite part of this slice is the section of the scissor over the lip. I created a solid edging that adds to the whole look a fun geometric shape. The suggestions that someone feels about it? I think for everyone this look is a trend. I would recommend you to cater for this look to your lifestyle as it is a hairstyle that requires a higher level of maintenance. You will have to visit the salon more regularly between 6 and 8 weeks a year to keep this style looking good. To emphasize the look, for a more sophisticated look, you can either curl the longer side to build softness or wear it straight. For someone who wants to look straight with a blow dryer or flat iron, I would recommend using a dry texturizer that adds volume and movement. If you are considering this cut, if any of your hair, you have to worry about preserving and styling depending on the texture and wave pattern. She has platinum blonde hair and is a natural level 4 so instead of taking her back to her base color I talked to her in a color melt that would encourage her to still enjoy the hard work we put into that icy blonde while enjoying the benefits that her natural color would offer! Emily has always been a wild card and likes to live life on the edge so I developed a stormy violet for her ends instead of glazing her hair with a traditional honey blonde or platinum, which would make her feel less like she was playing it safe! This cut is a lob that is textured. We’ve all seen it before, but we’re still not sick of it because it looks great on any form of the eyes. There’s something about the length of the collarbone on every neck / jawline that looks stunning and doesn’t make the face of anyone look too round! It looks great straight, but when they first chop their heads, many of my clients ask for the undone beach waves! The suggestions that someone feels about it? I love using salt spray for the texture in the crown if you have fine or medium textured hair. It helps to add volume and makes the curls look smooth and easy. If your hair already has plenty of volume and texture, after curling, you can spray salt spray directly onto the waves to make them look beautifully undone! It’s your lucky day if you’re considering this haircut because I personally believe there’s a heart for everyone. Some people look at the collarbone best with it, and others are amazed by a mid-neck chop! Think about going shorter if you have a long neck! This haircut is not as big as the stacked A-line lob’s ancestor. It grows pretty nicely when cut right for the. Depending on their growth, I often see clients coming back every 8-10 weeks. For everyone, the color is not. I talked about the above process and once you learn she’s been elevated to level 11, it’s no wonder that this smoky color wasn’t done in a day! When you think of a color like this, be careful with your stylist and body. Most of all, have fun!

Choppy Hair

QA with Erickson Arrunategui Hairstylist / Extension Expert @ Bumble and bumble. What would you describe this look like in New York Ny? This haircut is a textured long razor lob that is slightly A-lined. It’s cropped effortlessly but not too short, fascinating and flexible textured I love how short it looks to be super sleek and trimmed but long enough to fit in ponytails and trendy updos or half up / half down looks. The suggestions that someone feels about it? One of the most important things I tell my customers is to keep the ends straight. Straighter ends give it a more sleek look and make the haircut look more square as well. This will help balance rounder forms of the face that are usually afraid of going too far. Usually I use a 1 1/4 inch curling iron to get the specific texture, but you may be able to invest in a good sea salt spray and call it a day depending on your texture.

Ash Blonde

QA with Quinn Saucedo Hairstylist style creator @ Soon Beauty Lab in New York Ny How do you describe this look? In a few weeks before her paint, my client had come and we made her initial cut from long to short. She wanted something chic and precise that is, of course, a stunning choice for my client to bring out features in her collarbone and jawline. For most shapes of the head, this cut is very contouring. We spoke about her color and she wanted to take on a more vivid and natural rooted look. I did a half-head scan consisting of painting each section with my daily Blick Art Supplies 2 and paintbrush. There will be a subtle underlying pigment for any lifting operation, whether you are hand painting or foiling.
