Boosie Badazz was born as Torrence Hatch on 14 November 1982 and raised a notorious location in Louisiana in Southside Baton Rouge known for its narcotics and gunplay. He was dubbed Boosie by his parents, and was later called Lil Boosie. He was a good player in basketball, and his mother hoped his good sportsmanship would help him get to a good college. Lil Boosie was arrested on 22 October 2008 after marijuana and a gun was found in his car. He was sentenced to 2 years in jail. He was sentenced to eight years in state prison on 29 November 2011 on drug charges. But a jury found him not guilty of first degree murder in 2012. He was released on 5 March 2014 as a result and will be on parole until 2018. Lil Boosie formally changed its name to Boosie Badazz on 20 October 2014. He had completed several hours of community service since coming out of prison, which was a condition of his probation.
