It will mention your next billing date at the bottom of the screen. So if you’re pretty sure that you don’t want to stick with MoviePass beyond this month you should cancel now and use the service as much as you can afterwards. How can I cancel my subscription?

What if today you cancel MoviePass but the service ends up bouncing back from its current issues and you decide that you want to sign up? May you easily re-activate your account? Well, you can, but after you cancel, you will not be able to do so for nine months. So if you’re going to end your subscription, for the foreseeable future, you need to be really sure that you’re done with MoviePass. Someone who cancelled their account today wouldn’t be able to reactivate until April 2019. Granted, at this stage it seems pretty unlikely that in a month, let alone nine, MoviePass will be around but you never know. 7/7.1033 Sundance 2018 MoviePass mugs Daniel Boczarski / Getty MoviePass Images
So should I cancel or not?
If you have an e-ticketing theater near you but that changes things as those theaters have been running all this time and you’re probably going to be able to get at least one more movie from one of those theaters and not have your next $9.99 bill going to waste. If it has a ticket icon next to it in the MoviePass theater list, you will know if your theater is an e-ticketing one. On the other hand, if your next billing date isn’t for a couple of weeks, you might just hang around a little longer and see how things play out over the next couple of weeks to see if MoviePass will rebound or if this is the state of affairs. After all, there is no real benefit in canceling now rather than at the end of the month, and there is always a slim chance that MoviePass will make a sudden comeback and update the surge pricing system; if that happens and you cancelled, you would be locked out for nine months. Stay tuned to get more detail on MoviePass’s future.
