The Ugandan player who broke a CR7 record

The Ugandan defender Bevis Mugabi, who militates in the Motherwell, currently in the Second Division of Scotland, is in the news for having managed to beat a record of none other than the now Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo. CR7 scored a header in 2019 with the highest jump seen in football, 71 centimeters, after a corner.

It was on December 18, 2019 when Cristiano Ronaldo reached a height of 2.56 meters when connecting with the ball, before he had reached higher. The ex-Madridista scored the winning goal for Juventus against Sampdoria (1-2).

Mortherwell proudly announces that, against Ross County, the 1.87m Mugabi rose to 2.62m to score with a header. To reach that height, the Ugandan defender lifted off the ground 75 centimeters, four more than Cristiano Ronaldo when he achieved his march in 2019. It was the winning goal for the Scottish team, 1-2.

Mugabi, a Ugandan international but born in Harrow (England), has played for Motherwell since 2019 and is 25 years old. The defender was formed in the lower categories of Fulham and Southampton, in whose first teams he did not make his debut. His professional debut was at Yeovil Town (now in the English Fifth Division). Motherwell is 10th in the Scottish Premier.
