The “Kodi No Limits”

The “Kodi No Limits” Channel Got Terminated by YouTube in a Frenzy of Clearing People who posted tutorials on how to pirate content on YouTube had a comfortable setting to the extent that they did not actually do anything illegal. It seems, however, that the pressure from copyright holders to YouTube has risen to unprecedented levels and all relevant material is targeted in an unremitting way. Many developers have seen many of their videos being deleted, others have had their accounts demonetized, and some of the “larger players” like Kodi No Limits who had more than 600,000 subscribers are terminating. Of course, many Kodi tutorials can still be found on YouTube, but it has become evident that a clearing process is now underway and no channel that is too big to draw attention (and copyright infringement reports) will survive. However, Knl’s owner doesn’t give up because he’s already created a new channel called “No Limits” on YouTube, but this channel is also bound to end if the content is similar to the previous channel. YouTube is still uncertain as to what constitutes the multiple violations of copyright that led to the termination and it is probable they will never explain that. For now, of course, Knl will live through its Twitter pageown website but there’s a much smaller group there. It raises the question of whether traffic will shift onto other sites now that YouTube bans all accounts of this sort, or whether most users will just give up on piracy. It is going to be a little bit of both in my opinion. If more social platforms follow suit with YouTube then it will be a significant blow to piracy.
