Siri Show Me My Passwords via iOs 12 iCloud Keychain CompatibilityByNitish Singh-September 1 2018.596 Apple’s Smart Assistant Siri will now be able to display all of your iCloud keychain saved passwords. Never again will you need to remember passwords and just ask the voice assistant to get your password. Based on your preferences, the function is protected by Face I d Touch I d or your Apple I d password. Siri is receiving a lot more with iOs 12 just around the corner than just the previously announced Siri Shortcuts. You can now use your iPhone or iPad device’s smart digital assistant to view your passwords stored on your iCloud keychain. The functionality is similar to what LastPass and KeePass 1Password offer. It’s a very useful feature for anyone who has safe, hard to remember passwords. To request a password, simply ask Siri “Show me my passwords” to display all of your saved passwords or ask “show me my password for [ account or service name ]” and it will show you the required account password. In the Settings menu, Siri will give you a password account page and you will need to authenticate yourself to access it. As Apple has included Touch I d Face I d and password protection to secure the passwords, users who may be concerned about security may put their fears to rest. You can use any of the three authentication methods, and your password will be viewable. Figure 2 Image Courtesy of Cnet You can open your Website and App Passwords settings under Passwords and Accounts found in the Settings menu to display your passwords without using Siri. It will allow you to access your iCloud keychain that contains all of the passwords you saved. If you want cross-platform support, you can also use the famous third-party services. The Siri update is not yet available, since iOs 12 is still in Beta. Sometime this month, right after the Apple conference scheduled for September 12, an update for iOs 11 users is planned. If you own any Apple device running iOs 11 you’ll receive an update with your device’s new password management feature. Grip.
