Although we currently keep most of our contacts in the phonebook of our smartphone or mobile phone, we may need to find someone’s phone number. For this, there are telephone directories, those books that we all used in the past. Taking advantage of the fact that you have an Internet connection, I followed these steps to look in the Argentine phone book on the Internet.
Find out a person’s phone number
Although to some it may sound like Mandarin Chinese that of the ‘phone books‘Until a few years ago they were an indispensable tool in every home. And it is that social networks did not exist and this book full of names, addresses and telephone numbers called ‘White Pages’ was the key to communicate with others. With the telephone advances, the guides in paper format were falling into disuse and the electronic guide took power.
- I opened the White Pages website where you can find all the phone numbers in Argentina.
At the top of the page there is a search bar. The three selection fields are important:
- Choose Name –As in the image– to write the name and surname of the person, and find their phone number. You can also add data to facilitate the search, such as the province and the town.
Click on Look for when you finish writing.
Find out the owner of a phone line
If you want to know who owns a landline number in Argentina, you have to select the field Telephone, As shown in the picture. The form changes so that you can add the phone number’s area code, prefix, and suffix. When you finish press the button Look for.
Unfortunately, the option Address I don’t think it works to look in the Argentine phone book. I have tried it several times without success. I hope you have learned how to find phone numbers in Argentina. Ditch your old guide. There are other methods to get a person’s data, using Google or Facebook.
