- First method: this form is the simplest and with it you will achieve a result similar to yellow. You only need white paint and cadmium pigment. You should be careful, since cadmium is a metallic chemical component, so it is advisable to buy it in specialized stores and follow the instructions of the seller. To remove the yellow color you will only have to dilute a few drops of cadmium pigment in the white paint and stir well. You can add cadmium little by little until you achieve the desired shade of yellow.
- Second method: this proposal is more risky, but if you are fond of painting and you like to mix and experiment with colors, this option is for you. It involves pouring white paint into a paint tray or container. Next, pour a few drops of green paint (that is not a dark or very strong green) on the white and stir until you get a color similar to yellow. Do not expect to find a lemon yellow result, as you will only get close to the desired shade.
How to make different shades of yellow

Lemon yellow
You want to learn how to make lemon yellow color? Follow these steps:
- Add a part of basic yellow paint, that is, primary yellow.
- Next, add a pinch of white paint and stir until smooth.
- It is important that you add the white paint drop by drop, because if you go over it, the resulting color will have nothing to do with lemon yellow, but will rather acquire a certain pastel hue.
Albero yellow
The albero yellow color takes its name from the albero color of the sand in the bullrings. It is a color widely used in decoration, both indoors and on facades. Getting this color is not difficult, so you must be careful when mixing. Let’s do it!
- Pour a primary yellow base into a container (when we say a base, we mean that it is the color that will carry the most quantity of the mixture).
- Next, add a few drops of orange color (not too dark) and mix well until both colors are integrated.
- The color you need next is brown and it is the most delicate step, since it is the one that will give your mix the touch to get the albero tone, but if you go over it you will end up turning it into a dull yellow-brown. Start with one drop and get it right. If you see that it needs more, apply another drop and stir again.
- When you have the mixture ready, you just have to add a few drops of white to clean the strength of the brown and refine the tone.
Strong yellow
If you want to mix to get a strong yellow tone, the process is similar to lemon yellow but adding black instead of white. On a base of primary yellow, add black color little by little (if it is drop by drop, the better).
The important thing is that you mix well so that the two colors integrate. If you do not get a homogeneous mixture, when painting you can take remnants of the black color on the brush. It is better to give the paint a few more turns than to damage the surface on which you are going to apply the color.
