Steps to follow:
1
The first step to do homemade fondant is to melt the sugar clouds. If you want, you can make them yourself following this recipe or buy them (a bag usually carries 200g of marshmallows). Put the sugar clouds in a bowl or microwave safe container. To prevent the clouds from sticking to the bowl, spread it with a little butter. Add a tablespoon of water and put the bowl in the microwave for 3 minutes (always making sure they don’t burn). It is advisable that the sugar clouds are white to be able to dye the fondant the color you want.

When you remove the bowl from the microwave, use a spatula or spoon to move the sugar clouds so that they are just undone. If they haven’t completely melted, put them in for one more minute and they’re good to go.

Once the clouds are ready, you can start add the icing sugar. Add the icing sugar little by little so that the fondant kicks in better. Start mixing the clouds with the sugar with the help of a spoon or spatula and, once it begins to take a solid form, remove it from the bowl and knead with your hands to shape the homemade fondant. So that the fondant does not stick, dip your hands in icing sugar and spread sugar also over the area where you are going to knead.

When you have added all the icing sugar and fondant dough do not stick in the hands, make a ball and cover it with plastic wrap. You can previously spread the plastic wrap with butter or icing sugar so that the dough does not stick. Put the ball wrapped in plastic wrap in the refrigerator and let it rest for a whole day.
