If a cup of flour is equal to 120 grams because in the wet chocolate cake that you indicate puts 3 cups, 420 grams would actually be 360 grams, right?
Thank you

They have a conceptual error regarding liquids measured in cups, cups as units of measure refer to the volume or capacity they contain, therefore regardless of the liquid that is measured, its capacity in ml or cc will always be the same, 1 cup is about 240 ml

That is correct, the difference is that each liquid has a different density so they weigh differently with the same volume, for example you weigh a liter of gasoline and a liter of water so you can see the difference, greetings

I am very clear about the concepts of density, mass and volume, but cups should be used to measure volume.

the matches have to do with an equivalent in the recipes according to the ingredient that is … it has nothing to do with volumes or physics or chemistry or anything like that … in the kitchen many recipes instead of quantities put 1 cup 1/2 cup of each of the ingredients … the articol helps to understand that amount of each type of ingredient means 1 cup … 1 cup of sugar is 200g in any recipe that mentions 1 cup of sugar .. … it does not mean that I will take a cup filled with sugar and weighing it will be 200g … in fact everyone will have cups in different shapes and sizes and it would be absurd to talk about volumes and others … as long as you see 1 cup of sugar in a recipe you will know that we are talking about 200g … I don’t know if I explained it well …

Very useful information for a project that I am doing

Thanks for the information, it is very important to know, I was looking for it for a long time.
the reason
As much as those who make the recipes and those on this page should not do tutorials for people who do not know about kitchen measures.
How difficult is it for them to say grams or liter. or any other standard measure.
Cross out for the page. and No I didn’t like your explanation …

I did not understand what I was looking for

I don’t say anything about the pesos. But from the equivalence oil, milk and water the volume measurements do not change. 200 mml of milk is equal to 200 of levhe, or oil, or ursnium. Volomen is volume

Disagree regarding the equivalence in liquids. A cup is a measure of fixed capacity (200 ml) that does not vary with the content, as a liter is a liter regardless of the content.

I also disagree with the measurements. A cup is a fixed capacity measurement.

Congratulations on the report, I can finally make the recipes that represent the ingredients by cups, (because there are many measurements and it is impossible to know which is correct)

It is only the equivalence of cups to grams is that I am a beginner in making cakes or pizzas and that is my change but I already saw on your page but if I would like to know more about the equivalence of measures within the kitchen or pastry, thanks
