How long is a soccer field

Have you ever wondered how long is a soccer field? The regulations stipulate that the playing field has dimensions established by the FIFA that must be respected by football clubs to be considered statutory and to host official competitions. At OneHowTo we show you the measurements within the normative and some examples of Spanish stadiums.

Each football club decides its size

FIFA (International Federation of Association Football) is the institution that regulates the federations in this sport at the international level, and it officially stipulates ranges of standard measurements for soccer fields that must be respected. Similarly, there are also regulations on the goal size or the ball weight.

However, each of the clubs can freely decide, within this marked margin, both the length and the width of its own pitch. Depending on the dimensions established by the club, this could benefit from the rival during the game. However, due to this possible advantage there is some controversy with this regulation.
