Plant reproduction
Plants have various mechanisms to guarantee their offspring: sexual reproduction, which occurs by the fusion of gametes (sex cells) and asexual reproduction, without the fusion of gametes.
The results of sexual reproduction result in plants that are genetically different than their parents. Asexual offspring, on the other hand, obtain genetically identical plants except for the mutation.
