Henry reveals who is the best player he has played with and it is not Messi

The French legend Thierry henry (44 years old) was this Thursday granting an interview to the North American program CBS Sports in which he was touching many current football topics, among them who was the best player with whom he shared a dressing room.

Any soccer fan would have imagined that it would be Leo Messi, but the French chose Dennis Bergkamp, Dutch player who shared a dressing room with ‘Titi’ at Arsenal. And when the reporter asked him if he really didn’t think it was Messi, Henry he reiterated his claim.

Henry had already spoken highly of his former partner in Arsenal to the english newspaper The Telegraph: “I have always said that he is still the best partner I have ever had. It is a forward’s dream. ” He also justified his answer: “Because of his longevity and because I saw him every day in training for seven years.”

French and Bergkamp played a total of 216 games for Arsenal between 1999 and 2006. They won the Premier League and three times the FA Cup. In 2006 the Dutchman retired and a year later Henry came to Barcelona.

There he played with Lionel messi. Together, from the hand of great players like Xavi, Iniesta and Puyol won the treble in 2009 with Pep Guardiola. A year later, Henry left for the New York Red Bulls and returned on loan for a brief time to the Arsenal in 2012.
