She told her followers of Instagram that she was planning a very special episode of her show. Here’s what Drummond was doing that gave her face a dorky-happy smile.

She revealed that she is going to film an upcoming episode inside the restored Brady Bunch house. She told her fans that she was so pleased that she couldn’t help but have on her face a dorky-happy smile. What Drummond wrote here: where am I? (And more specifically… what room??) If you don’t know you either a) were born after 1985 or b) watched A Very Brady Renovation on Monday nights at @hgtv! (Third episode is tonight ‘you’ll love it.) Anyway I got to borrow the Bradys house to cook a meal in the freshly updated (but 100% spot on authentic) kitchen… and it was really one of the best times my born-in-1969 has ever had. You can see my wide-eyed enthusiasm (and 70s food!) at 10 Eastern on @foodnetwork this Saturday morning! (Just look at that dorky-happy smile on my face. I LOVED IT SO MUCH!) So much of the discourse surrounding the latest Star Wars films has focused on the legacy of the saga. All five movies released since Lucasfilm’s acquisition by Disney have directly tied to the original trilogy. Whether coping with the aftermath of those films or taking place just before A New Hope, they’ve all been tied to the past. But there’s a particular Mandalorian. First of all, the show is between the Jedi’s return and the Awakens Force. That is a span of 30 years that has been largely unexplored up to now. Plus the series on Disney+ doesn’t depend on any characters we know. Instead it uses the legend and iconography of the Star Wars universe as the backdrop for a completely fresh story. So giving the character her own series would maintain The Mandalorian’s tone in that way. Yet her history is also sufficiently distinct from that of Mando to open the doors to a dimension of Star Wars storytelling that we have yet to see on-screen. We don’t see the latter becoming a Baby’s Day Out-style Star Wars experience (can you imagine?). Yet Cara Dune will bring her own show more than that. All we can do right now is guess. And if Lucasfilm believes what we think they’re expecting The Mandalorian Season 2 to set up a brand new Cara Dune adventure. The saga could pave a whole new path forward with two Disney+ series based on the Star Wars subworld.
