When Jack Kirby and Stan Lee brought them back to life in 1963 they became the quintessential team of superheroes. Thanks in large part to the way the world was designed, their universe is expansive providing characters with a vast array of unique and interesting forces. With the idea of mutants as individuals capable of having any number of abilities it made for a diverse team of heroes and villains which in turn brought us the first ever commercial success for an adapted comic film with Bryan Singer’s film back in 2000. The race for film rights however left Marvel Studios without one of their most valuable commodities due to Sony having exclusive licenses for everything relating to mutants. This prompted Marvel to take a similar alternative route to include a squad of naturally gifted heroes: the Inhuman. Many of us had never heard of them before, just recently, but since 1965 they have been around just two years after the first X-Men comic hit shelves.
