Report Reports About Media Streaming Industry Fragmentation and Oversaturation ByBill Toulas-November 5, 2019.357 A report reports that nearly half of subscribers to the streaming media services are already fed up. There are just too many streaming services that deliver the exclusive content people want to use. Today, consumers feel “subscription fatigue” as they jump from one network to the next. The space for streaming services is a market bubble, ready to burst. We already have an overcrowded area of exclusive content coupled with high costs and at the same time more giants arrive with excitement aiming to grab one piece of the pie. Media streaming services have started a revolution a couple of years ago but at this point things show the first signs of a derailment as consumers are overwhelmed and called upon to pay more than they can afford. YouTube Originals will make all content on the channel available to non-paying users as of September 2019. Members who pay will continue to enjoy other perks such as watching content and not getting served with advertisements. YouTube is also experimenting with a new crowdfunding platform targeting creators and their audience for special events. YouTube has announced its intention to make the YouTube Originals channel available freely to all viewers beginning on 24 September 2019. For now, the content of the channel is open only to those with a YouTube Premium membership enjoying series films and other content available exclusively on “Originals.” This subscription group will continue to enjoy a set of benefits such as no promotional ability to download videos for offline viewing and access to bonus content, while “free” users will only be able to access the content of the channel and watch whatever they like. Another distinction is that paying members will be able to access whole series seasons as they are released at the premiere in their entirety, whereas non-paying participants will have to follow a linear release schedule viewing one or so episode a week. One thing to note is that some of the material in different regions of the world is not available and this geo-filtering should remain unchanged. That said some movies or series or even episodes in your country or region may not be available for viewing. If this is an issue for you, note that outside the Usvpn program there is a way to watch YouTube Premium. One more thing that goes on for the most popular video hosting platform in the world is a new experiment that will test the users ‘ response to a new crowdfunding service based on events. The new platform called Fundo would allow creators of YouTube to set up online meetings and events with their fans, the latter paying a “private time” fee with the former. These activities may include exclusive live conversations demonstration of some sort training and advice sessions, or even photo shooting together. There have already been some experiments of developers paying $4 $10 and $40 for a ticker to their private events and so far it has been going pretty well.
