Some of the products provide new privacy displays for wireless power transfer systems, and even car accessories. In order to protect intellectual property, some of the patents have been filed and may not be enforced on goods early. Apple had unveiled its wireless charging technology last year but we haven’t seen any official announcements yet with the year coming to a close for its debut. The technology may not only extend to iPhones or MacBooks but also to electric vehicles. The patent for wireless charging was filed in Q3 2016 and has been officially published today. .898 Figure 2 Patently Apple Photo Courtesy Other patents that have been licensed include products such as the Apple Watch barometric vent privacy displays and more. One of the patents reveals that future Apple Watches will see a minor redesign which will shield the gadgets from pollutants outside. In addition, a barometric vent may be added to equalize the pressure inside the cavity and conform to the outside environment. The patents also listed privacy displays and it happens to be a technology the company has been working on since 2011. It is basically a technology patent, and has not yet been integrated into any of the new Apple devices. Nonetheless, we should expect the tech giant to introduce the technology in its future devices with user privacy and online security being hot topics in 2018. Search for more such data.
