Martin Scorsese Scorsese won an Emmy for Outstanding Directing for the wrap-up pilot of his final season soon ordered a pilot for a series based on Scorsese’s 2010 Shutter Island thriller that also lines Scorsese to direct. The show will be named Ashecliffe after the mental institution featured in the film and will be a prequel to Shutter Island describing the establishment’s past with its unethical owners who have adopted some questionable methods to handle the mentally ill. Scorsese’s Untitled Rock / Roll Project for HBO is closer to reaching television screens, which will be about the music. The show will follow an executive record company led by Bobby Cannavale and will have an all-star cast including Olivia Wilde Ray Romano PJ Byrne and many other Scorsese. David Fincher Guillmero del Toro is best known for his horror-squeezing films, such as the comic book adaptations of a second season pick up. Thanks to del Toro’s unique ability to create horror imagery and show s use of similar contagious disease themes that made The Walking Dead so famous, the series was successful with both viewers and critics. TV shows of all time and many agree that his popularity could have continued if the network did not force Lynch to expose Laura Palmer’s murderer halfway through the second season of the show. For his moment, Lynch got away with a ridiculous amount of Lynchian bizarreness on the show paving the way for stranger series to come and more adventurous directors to take the leap into television.
