Remember that in the Spanish language, exclamation marks, like question marks, must be used both to open and to close the sentences that corresponds to them. Both must be used.

Exclamation marks are used in exclamatory phrases. To do this, you must write the opening sign with the point up, and the closing sign with the point down.
Ex: What a beautiful day today!

There are the exclamatory-interrogative phrases, or vice versa, in which it can be headed with an exclamation point and closed with the question mark or vice versa.
Ex: What’s the matter, my God!

When the exclamatory sentences are several and followed, they can be written lowercase as long as are separated from each other with a comma or semicolon.
Ex: Come on !, Cheer up !; you can!

In literary works in a special way, it is possible use more than one followed sign to open and close the sentences. Maximum, three signs in a row are allowed.
Ex: Help !!!

Another use of the closing exclamation mark in parentheses is to indicate doubt, surprise and even irony.
Ex: They told him that nothing was wrong (!)

The closing exclamation point works like point that closes the period where you are. After this, there is no point to write.
Ex: Happy birthday! I wish you the best.

In chess, using the closing exclamation mark after a move indicates that it has been a good move.
