Ozan Kabak’s emotional announcement that he is leaving Liverpool

The adventure of the young Turkish defender Ozan Kabak at Liverpool has come to an end. The defender himself announced it through his Twitter account, in an emotional message. Loaned in January to the ‘red’ club by Schalke, Kabak returns to the German team, which has lost the category.

Ozan Kabak arrived at Liverpool in the winter market before the plague of injuries suffered by Jürgen Klopp’s team (Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Joël Matip), but could not fully convince with his performances. Liverpool will not make use of the purchase option it had on the defender, worth 20 million euros.

It was the player himself who announced his goodbye to Liverpool, through a message addressed to the ‘red’ fans. “I have learned a lot from my coach, Jürgen Klopp, and from my teammates. I am proud to have been part of this family, which is unique. I will look back on my days at Liverpool with great happiness. YNWA ”.

In total, Ozan Kabak, 21, played 13 games for Liverpool, including 4 in the Champions League. Summoned by Senol Günes, Turkey coach, for Euro 2020, the young defender did not play a minute in the competition, in which the Turkish team did not pass the first phase after losing their three games: 0-3 against Turkey, 0 -2 against Wales and 3-1 against Switzerland (Spain’s rival in the quarterfinals this Friday).
