Fables are short stories usually starring animals or plants that have human characteristics. The purpose of these stories is to leave some kind of lesson or moral learning to the reader to invite him to reflect on a particular topic.
It is a literary genre normally aimed at children, in which different morals are expressed that are important to learn.
For its part, the story is a narrative that can be based on real or fictional events and that can contain all kinds of characters. There are different genres of stories such as fairy tales, epics, historical ones, fantasy stories, ghosts, among others.
The purpose of the story can be to transmit a tradition orally, as seen in folk tales, or simply to tell any story. Its ending should not necessarily include, as in the case of the fable, some moral lesson, this being the main difference between both genders.
