In essence, when you encrypt something you run the message text through an algorithm that scrambles it. Essentially the resulting text is pure gibberish. The key to encryption and decryption is special here. Always share their decryption key with the recipient. Anyone who wants to send them a safe message can use the public key which is not a password. The easiest way to safely give someone a piece of encrypted text via email is by using a technology known as “Pgp.” Which is Pgp?
For fairly good privacy, “Pgp” is short. No, don’t let that name fool you. This free and open encryption technology is among the most reliable that the public can use.
