QA with Becky Borman Hairstylist style in San Francisco Ca How would you describe this look? This look is a curly shag of boldness. Something that sounds soft and feminine as well as rock-n-roll. The suggestions that someone feels about it? This appearance is extremely low in maintenance. Growing out is fine, and with bang trims can be moved ever further. Easy to style by pushing all the hair forward pushing the curl by adding a styling cream (Hairstory Hair Balm is my go-to) and either drying or drying for more curl and volume with a diffuser. Wonderful on nearly every sort of wave or curl. On the curl!
Surface Angled Bangs
Mid-Length Bangs For Oval Eyes
QA Stylist / Colorist Dominique Carpinelli Stylist @ Siren Salon in Chicago Il How would you describe this look? I cut this with a razor to get soft internal layers and weight removal to improve the natural hair wave and movement. My client Claudia can use a round brush to clean this elegant air out. Any advice that someone thinks about it? This style works best on straight-wavy, medium-thick hair. I wouldn’t recommend this cut if you have curly hair and don’t want to blow it out. To achieve this look, you need to have a texture material. I’ve been using R+Co Sail. When the spray is blown out on dry hair, spray it on damp hair and let it dry air. For women who don’t want long hair but still like the option of pulling their hair back, it’s a great length.
QA with Jafra Faith Hairstylist style maker @ Salon Shanti in Fountain Valley Ca How do you explain this look? The bangs are the ones I love most about this theme! You should accept and show off the natural curls in a fun way. They make a big statement because they are so effortless. To cut your bangs on the long side, ask the stylist because we all know how much curly hair bounces. It is also important to style the material. You need a good curl cream to de-frizz hair while holding in place the curls as well. To the touch it should look soft and not crunchy. How would you characterize this look?
Medium Angled Bob with Fine Hair Bangs
With some messy textured waves, this is a long angled bob. We also used the amazing color fusion line from Redken to offer a beautiful bold vibrant shade that can be easily refreshed when needed with Redken Shades Eq gloss. Any suggestions that someone feels about it? This look is good for someone who knows that a fringe is being maintained. They typically need a trim every four weeks. I’d say this cut is great if you live an active lifestyle because it’s a sassy shape but the length is still there to put your hair in a low to mid ponytail if you need it! It’s great for someone who needs some volume and texture with fine flat hair!

This hair length is relatively low maintenance. It doesn’t have many layers, so it’s great for someone with fine hair who wants to create a fullness look. This can, of course, be changed for other hair types! Just make sure you use a bright shampoo and conditioner if you have colored hair! (The Wella Brilliance line is highly recommended). Start your styling with a heat-protecting product such as the Nioxin Therm Activ spray and blow dry smooth with a dry and flat iron brush or blow. With either a round brush or a flat paddle brush and blow dryer, the fringe will require some styling. If you wear your hair a lot or are busy and on the go, really simple and convenient! Pro tip * Always start drying a fringe with a blow with wet or damp hair before you start. Blow dry with a paddle brush to push the hair side to side for a more natural look. And raise the fringe on top of the brush with a round brush blow-dry in an upward motion to produce more of a bouncy feel.
Choppy Bob Cut with Bangs
Choppy Bob Cut with Bangs
QA with Shantelle Horn Master Stylist Makeup Artist @ Posh Salon Spa in Lexington Ky This is my twist to your classic medium bob! I loved to add all the layers, but particularly to frame the eyes! The bangs are also too cool! Don’t forget about all the texture that makes this chop ideal for the look of the summer beach this season! The suggestions that someone feels about it? Invest for quick daily style in your favorite volumizer and sea salt spray!
QA with Katie Mcvicker Artisan Lounge @ Blo Out Lounge and Color Bar in Hamilton Township Nj How would you describe this look? My guest told me to have fun with this look and that’s just what I did! We refreshed her highlights and added a lighter fringe region while retaining her blonde’s very rooty feel. The advice that someone thinks about it? With most s, this style will work. Nonetheless, women with thicker hair would probably need more styling time. This can be almost effortless for finer hair if cut right. A little hand over direction can allow this cut to drop right into place while using your blow dryer. To give my guest fullness and texture, I used an invisible layering technique that incorporates shorter pieces into the layers! Looks great with a beachy wave and/or flat!
Wispy Bangs Super-SweetBecause the bits are much smaller than the rest of the body, the hairline can be difficult to manipulate before it dries. As for the rest of the long layers of hair, for any lifestyle, they are super easy and manageable! They are so flexible with styling
Lovely Long Bangs
QA with fashion designer Krystal Yangco Hairstylist @ Salon 120 Day Spa in Summerville Sc How would you describe this look? This is a cut with long layers of medium length and a long side bang. For a soft color pop, some cool toned balayaged highlights have been applied to her natural color. I love this cut’s ease. You can wear it straight or curled and very minimal maintenance is required for the color! The suggestions that someone feels about it? Spreading a voluminous mousse or spray all over before blowing and using a heat protectant before your wand or iron helps keep this style going throughout the day.
Bangs
How would you characterize this look? This is a light curtain fringe textured short honey blonde bob. The best thing about this break, as some people call it, must be the fringeor bangs. I’m an 80’s son, but I should have been born a decade earlier as I love 70’s style! The curtain fringe is a modern tribute to stars like Farrah Fawcett and Stevie Nicks from the seventies. The suggestions that someone feels about it? This cut’s length is very versatile. This gives hair that lacks structure the impression of thickness. Adding short layers will make this length very enjoyable while eliminating weight for someone with thicker hair. Curling with a bit of textured paste gives a fun beachy, lived-in look, or for an evening event, you can do a sleek blow out style. This style is perfect for someone who leads an active lifestyle because it is short enough to keep down the time of styling, but not so short that personality and versatility are lacking.
Glasses and Bangs are fine
Take the shape. There are many different s that can wear this style. This shape will be expanded by curly / wavy hair to make it appear more triangular. The less triangular it appears, the straighter the hair. Because this form has no layers, it makes the hair heavier at the scalp to minimize weight. This cut will have a very long time keeping its form and a lot of style itself.
Bangs layered

QA with Michael Pennimpede Stylist Stylist @ Alchemy The Hair Salon in Orlando Fl How would you describe this look? Definitely, this look is a more dramatic version of a modern shag. Her hair color is natural so I felt like that allowed me to push a little further into the shape of the haircut. Using my razor, I was able to create enough form and motion, so hand-styling was very simple with a diffuser and a heavy cream. Any suggestions that someone feels about it?

QA with Jenna Binette Cutting Specialist at J Henry’s House in Portland Me How would you describe this look?
QA with Lauren Altieri Hairstylist design maker @ Tribe in Chadds Ford Pa How would you describe this look? I’d describe this hairstyle as a long shag with a texture. The bangs are definitely my favorite part of this cut. They lie so easily and put together the whole theme! This style applies medium to finer hair to anyone. I used to finish this look with Kevin Murphy Bedroom. Hair. It helped give it that lived-in finish that made the hair mobile while keeping the separation and texture.
Blunt Bangs straight hair
How would this look be described? With a little edge, I’d describe this look as chic and sophisticated. I gave her a blunt bang with a short to long textured bob. My favorite thing about this haircut is the perfect blend of a classic bang and bob with textured edginess. It’s both worlds ‘ best. Any advice that someone thinks about it? There’s a lot to talk about when it comes to bangs and a bobth. The first thing to keep in mind when determining whether or not to get bangs is the shape of your head. If you have a long face like a bang from my client, it can help reduce the overall length of your head. Both a bang and a short bob need more styling than normal, especially if you have a natural cowlick that interferes with your bangs. This haircut will help to make any outfit look extra trendy if you have time out of your day to devote to styling your hair. For style, when the hair was wet, I sprayed Milbon Volume Thickening Mist. I sprayed Oribe Gold Lust Dry Shampoo on the roots of her bangs after I dried and brushed her hair to avoid any greasiness. I finished all over the hair with L’Oréal Professional Next Day Hair Dry Finishing Spray to add more volume and texture.
Textured Curtain Bangs Blonde Hair
QA Style Creator Amanda Nove Pocha Hairstylist @ Tiger Tiger Salon in Portland Or How would you describe this look? For anyone who wants a completely different look without losing too much length, longer bangs allow a bold change. Dinging the texture and allowing the eyebrows to dust makes them flirtious and grown-up while attracting attention to the eyes. The suggestions that someone feels about it? Long layers mixed with a good styling product just past the shoulders allow the hair’s natural texture to retain most of the look. This is a style of medium length falling past the collarbone. I love how this haircut stretches her round face to give the illusion of a more oval shape and I also love how she looks framed by the blunt bangs. Many of my customers who grow lobs / shorter styles love when their length reaches this stage. The suggestions that someone feels about it? My customer’s hair is fine and smooth, of course. I used the Medium Texture Paste by Davines to prepare the hair while wet to achieve this style. I dried her hair in large sections with a big circular brush to add volume to the roots. I left the bangs straight and blunt but used a 1 1/4-inch barrel curling iron on the rest of her hair to add a few waves. Next I sprayed the curls gently with Davines Dry Texture Spray to help hold the waves of her fine hair without making it sticky. I gently broke up the waves using a wide-tooth tortoise comb to give it some playfulness and texture. I misted the hair with a soft, elastic hairspray and shook it out to finish the look. My client is a mom to a kid in order to make her lifestyle unpredictable! Not only does this style complement her face shape and haircut, it also has a lived-in look so she can keep this blowout effortlessly. Medium Hair Side Swept Bangs
QA with Erika Hairstylist style creator @ Magnum Opus Salon in Portland Or How would you describe this look? The bangs would have to be my favorite part. They can be so flexible, and depending on how they are styled, they can change the whole haircut look. I don’t think the styling of your bangs is right or wrong. Just enjoy it! The suggestions that someone feels about it? If not when it comes to slicing the lob? It is easily pulled back into a ponytail that reduces dry blow and styling time and looks good on nearly all. My favorite hair texture should be straight or wavy with a fine to medium density for this look. The cut creates completeness without being too heavy and it can be transformed into a sexy beach wave style with the right textured products. I love the Clean Surface Spray from Oribe! I suggest keeping the bangs longer and side-swept if you want to keep the look low maintenance. The straight-across bangs are perfect if you like something a little bit more statement-making. Bangs have come a long way from the Diy bang days of your primary school! Make sure you do some homework when you decide what bangs style you’d like. Life Hack Just your bangs on day two hair dry and blow to refresh the entire look in just a few minutes! Bettie Bangs and Shaggy Layers
QA with Make-up Artist design maker Amy Schaming Hairstylist @ Metropolis Salon Dry Bar in Columbia Sc How would you describe this look? The suggestions that someone feels about it? Styling this cut is easier than you might think. The boom is the only part that needs to be dried up! To promote beachy texture, air dry the rest of the hair with something like R+Co’s Wave Spray, then polish a few parts with a curling iron if needed for further separation.
Shag of the Bronde
Next we shampooed dried conditioned towel over-directed her face frame and molded stuff with a razor for the feather. I used Igk Call Time for thermal safety and Igk Trust Fund for size, then I rounded my favorite Olivia Garden Ceramic + Ion Brushes. With wavy curly or straight hair, this hairstyle is perfect. You can rock it or give yourself a voluminous blowout in its natural state. If somebody is contemplating bangs, they certainly need to know how high they can be in maintenance. For more of an oval shaped face, I suggest this style, but you can change it to match other shapes.
Edgy Shaggy Cut with Blunt Bangs
QA with Samantha Hamilton Master Stylist in Buchanan Mi How would you describe this look? I’d characterize it as a regular edgy look. The full bangs and blunt cut add a sense of toughness, but for every day it is wearable. Precise color positioning shows different facial characteristics and that’s what I love about scanning. It’s really great and customizes it for every guest! The advice that someone thinks about it? Once the cut has been created, you can determine what color is best suited to the cut. Cutting and color will compliment each other at all times. Balayage is a great technique to compliment virtually every cut as the stylist will add color to highlight points of the cut. With this cut, styling is simple. For a quick look, you can add a trendy topknot while the bangs keep it sleek. My favorite is to add some texture with loose waves to the skin. Attempt to match with a barrel iron of 1 1/4-inch alternating curl directions. Finish with a dry shampoo for an airy, lived-in feel to add texture. Spray your hairspray with a light hold and you’re all set!
Collarbone Bob with Fringe
QA with Kaitlin Jorgenson Stylist Stylist @ Scott J. Aveda Salon in Brooklyn Heights Ny How would you describe this look? I’d describe this look as a blunt fringe or baby bangs collarbone lob. Her haircut is angled slightly from back to front which makes her hair fall well over her shoulders. For so many of my clients, I love this look because of its versatility. My guest in the photograph has wavy air drying well, but on occasion she still likes to add curl or straighten it. For all those looks, this haircut fits well. I added a few light layers of mobility through the haircut to make it easy to wear and easy to wear, no matter what looks she prefers. Another great thing about this design is how it can be adapted to many face shapes and s with small tweaks. Your stylist can add more angle through the duration that you can change the fringe to be shorter or longer, or maybe add more texture for less of a blunt effect. For someone with an oval face, these short baby bangs work great and could be kept longer for more of a long face. I’ve got so many guests interested in this season’s fringe and it’s the perfect time to dive! Sometimes by applying a fringe to your new look, blow drying the area of your hair is important to smooth out any growth patterns or textures and you want to keep your hair safe and clean! I styled it with Aveda Smooth Infusion Style Prep Smoother to achieve this look. It is a great lightweight leave-in styling material for heat protection with wheat protein and it also contains aloe maize and tapioca for a smooth, shiny result with up to 12 hours of moisture protection! I enjoy spraying wet hair with Aveda’s Texture Tonic blow dry to produce a wavier finish and then take large sections loosely wrap them around a curling iron or wand for a natural wavy look. If you want this look, but you’re in luck with wavy or curly hair! This can also be a great reduction in maintenance for you. Depending on how curly your hair is, your stylist may choose to add more layering in order to avoid the dreaded appearance of the triangle and perhaps keep your fringe a little longer. Style for your new favorite look with Be Curly Style Prep and air dry or diffuse!
What items would you suggest for this look to be preserved and recreated? To recreate this look, I recommend spraying Wella Professional’s Sugar Lift onto the root and mid-length area to give some extra body to the roots followed by a Wella Professional Flow Form pump to help prevent any frizziness but also protect the hair from any heat styling damage. Using your desired hot tool, create waves and texture shake your hair with hands or a wide tooth comb and spray some Ocean Spritz to hold and define your waves. What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? For most people, this style is appealing as you can switch your bangs ‘ length depending on what you want to show. For example, if you want to enhance your face, just below the eyebrow point, cut your bangs. If you want to enhance your cheekbones, ask your stylist to shave your cheekbones around the middle of your cheek.
