I love Tigi small talk as a blow dry cream beginning with blow dry. I can find a 1 with curling? Curling iron to be the best for bob long haircuts and consider Paul Mitchell’s Awapuhi ginger spray to leave the hair with brightness and light grip. Finally, I use a little cream-shaped Paul Mitchell tea tree. I use Paul Mitchell finishing spray volume to level it.
Layered Bob
How do you explain this look and what is your favorite? This look is a graduated layered bob with some fun highlights to emphasize the layers of texture. I love how funny this short hair look can be with the allied layers in particular. What items would you suggest for this look to be preserved and recreated? This particular client has fine hair, so I used Powder Dry Me as well as Puff Me. I consider that using both together creates a lot of natural volume without teasing. In order to maintain hair color and integrity, sulfate-free shampoo and conditioners are always best. What kind of customer would you recommend this look for?
Blue Steel Pixie
‘ Young American Salonin Tustin Ca I can best describe this style as a pixie detached from blue steel. The creativity and unique originality involved with the whole process of color and haircut would be my favorite aspect overall. This was her first rendezvous with me and she gave me the real green light to explore her requests. Consultations with new customers who want to explore outside the box usually take about 15 minutes for us to really touch on their history and possibilities of hair. Also, I don’t get such requests from an Asian client over 40 years of age very often. What items would you suggest for this look to be preserved and recreated? There are five products that I highly recommend in between appointments to maintain this style and integrity of the hair / scalp. The use of an aloe vera aerosol spray will definitely benefit any customer whose color service requires on scalp bleaching. It is cheap and will help to relieve any pain or discomfort after burning. My top choice for a protein-based shampoo is Davines ‘ Melu and Evo’s custom blue Fabuloso color conditioner to infuse pigment into your home color maintenance scheme. Before blowing drying, I would use a couple of spritzes of Bona Fide’s textured spray to give the hair a bit of grit. This step helps to prepare the design so the use of pomade and heavy residue is minimal. Finally, I love Davine’s Strong Hold Dry Wax for durability and consistency finishing with its extra strong hairspray for thick Asian skin. To consumers who are not afraid to make a comment, I suggest this and color combination. To order to ensure that a creative vibrant color / haircut service is right for them, it is always wise to ask the customer about their work environment budget and timing. It is possible to achieve this particular style on most s. We are so fortunate that, when it comes to aggressive color services, Olaplex ‘ technology has allowed more wiggle room to push the boundaries. I believe that trust is the main component of this hairstyle or of any hairstyle. Someone regardless of gender and age of your race size will look great in this look as long as they feel it inside.
Glass-free Pixie
This is most attractive to women with naturally textured hair and sharp facial features due to the carefree aspect of this style cut and color. This look is no trouble whatsoever and is just ready to go!
Low Maintenance Pixie
What’s your favorite thing about this look? I’d describe this look as elegant and low-maintenance, but fun for all ages. My favorite thing about it would be to look textured and messy or more flat and sleek. What products do you recommend for this look to be maintained and recreated? I would consider using the Milkshake Silver shampoo with a moisturizing conditioner (Moisture Treatment Loma is my favorite) to preserve this look colorwise. After washing and before blowing, I like using the Evo Salty Dog Spray, though any texture / root lift spray would work. Use the Joico Dry Spray Wax once dry if you’re going for a messier look. I’d just finish it off with some hairspray if you’re going for more of a flat feel. I’m going to Shaper Plus! What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? It’s a great look for people who don’t have much time to do a lot with their hair in the morning. All it needs is a quick dry blow and then you’re out of the door a little item! A heart or an oval-shaped face is perfect, but I think everybody can pull it off with a little confidence.
Spunky Pixie
What’s your favorite thing about this look? I love the look! It’s relatively low maintenance for someone who’s busy what this customer is! Time is minimal from the color to the cut style and it is super versatile. She can wear it like this or she can look like a pompadour we’ve done in the past. There are many ways to play with this cut! The rooted color let her spend more time between sessions so she’s not for a color in the salon every four weeks. It’s young, it’s spunky and for her lifestyle it works well! What products do you recommend for this look to be maintained and recreated? To give her a piecey look, we used Kenra Dry Texture Spray and some Puff Me to add volume to thin hair! I also used some hairspray for some hold of Chi Royal Treatment. I also recommend using a heat-protective Kenra Hot Spray when using any heat-protected device. Also, once a week, she uses Pravana Perfect Blonde shampoo to maintain her color! Typically, if you’re thinking of a pixie, I recommend oval or heart shape eyes, but it often looks good on several face shapes! For medium skin, these cuts work best. It’s great for a fast style that’s still trendy, and in the morning you don’t spend an hour on your hair. It’s fast and fun, but it still looks like a put together!
Short Wedge Style Easy Bob
For moms who don’t necessarily have much time to do their hair but still need a look to make them feel feminine, it’s a great choice. It’s for the women who just want something different and fun! How many different ways you can cut / style it to flatter all the different shapes of the face is the best thing about A-line bobs.
Free Grey Hair Shag
How do you explain this look and what is your favorite? This look is fun and trendy sassy messy. My favorite part of it reveals how it freed her! What items would you suggest for this look to be preserved and recreated? It’s a very low maintenance look. The babylights brighten her color and highlight the shaggy layers, particularly around the face with some disconnected layers. To give it a texture and keep, I applied a little spray wax. My favorite one is Unite’s Tricky Lite. What kind of customer do you suggest this look for?
Color The Gray Bob
QA with> Urban Oasis Salonin Portland Or I’d characterize this look like something funny and spunky the says age is just a number and every woman has her own kind of sass. What items would you suggest for this look to be preserved and recreated? I marked out with Joico Blondelife and lowlighted her with a combination of magenta and pink with Joico Intensity. I used the Loma Volumizing Mousse and round to brush her out when styling. What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? I believe this theme is quite old-fashioned. Anyone can enjoy this look, but I recommend it mostly to anyone looking for a fuller look with really fine hair. The cut is definitely suitable for most face shapes, and a client seeking to embrace their spontaneity is the pop of color. Layered Wavy Bob

To recreate and maintain this look, I recommend using a mousse or styling cream gel such as Paul Mitchell’s Sculpting Foam or Fast Form to blow drying with a brush or tilting your head upside down. What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? Nearly anyone is the type of customer I recommend this cut! Keeping up as long as you don’t mind regular visits to the salon between four to six weeks takes little effort. For anyone with a fine to medium hair texture, this is a good option. From a sporty lifestyle to a professional lifestyle, it is also perfect for anyone. It’s easy to take care of and fashion, no matter what kind of life you’re living! Soft A-Line Bob
QA with Colorado Springs ‘ Toni Guy Co. How would you describe this look and what’s your favorite thing about it? What items would you suggest for this look to be preserved and recreated? In order to maintain this style, I recommend Tigi Bed Head Small Talk as a wet product to thicken the hair when blowing for a soft hold. I also recommend Tigi Superstar Queen for a round brushing day at the crown as a thickening spray mousse. I suggest Tigi Head Rush for reduced illumination and light separation in order to finish the theme. What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? This cut and style is perfect for the texture of medium to fine hair. Naturally, this cut will increase weight in the crown in order to create volume and lift. I’ve added a texturized fringe in this particular bob style to bring a youthful feel to this classic shape. Bobs are minimal maintenance of styling, but often require more frequent cuts to preserve the shape. Super Short Crop of Elegance

QA with> Kiwi Salonin San Marcos Ca How are you going to describe this look and what’s your favorite? This look I would describe as a layered A-line stacking light in the back. It is very flexible because the client has beautiful short curly hair so that the layers help to lighten the curls. Believe it or not, we’re trying to make her bangs grow. What items would you suggest for this look to be preserved and recreated? I’m a big fan of goods from Unite. I used to start her 7 seconds. It’s a great, not too heavy, leave-in conditioner with a U.V. And the protective thermal. Then Texturiza was sprayed at her roots. With a touch of grit, it gives it this amazing fullness. My favorite Olivia Garden 1-inch round brush to finish the dry blow. One tip I love is to round off the whole crown. Once the hair and scalp are refreshed, flip back into sections and enjoy the volume and the beautiful swept bangs! Ultimately, a brush of U-Oil from Unite is the perfect finish to offer the extra shine. I still set the look with Big Sexy Hair Spray and Play once you’re pleased with how you’ve done it all. What kind of customer would you recommend this look for? Honestly, anyone can wear this cut. It works for the trendy young blogger mom who can play with pop colors or who wants to be an all-over pink, and it works completely for more current and trendy women as well. Keep in mind that shorter hair is more maintenance and must be maintained as it will fall flat and out of shape faster than usually long hairstyles.
Wispy Bangs Youthful A-Line Bob
How would you describe this look and what’s your favorite thing about it? I describe this look as a voluminous and youthful chic, easy bouncy cut. My favorite thing about it is how sassy it can be, but still classy. To give it a piece look, you can add texture or wear it in a straight and more professional way. What items would you suggest for this look to be preserved and recreated? Pai Shau Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner with Keratin and five different teas were the products I used to achieve this look to help keep the hair strong and smooth, but not weighed down. I used the vitamin and hydration R+Co High Dive and the root size R+Co Chiffon mousse. What kind of customer would you recommend this look for? I feel like it’s very easy to do this hairstyle if you just want to wash it and go round it down or put some twists in it. I wouldn’t recommend it to people who don’t like things hanging on their faces or to people who don’t like to wear down their hair because it doesn’t go very well in a ponytail. Even, if you’re one of those ladies with long hair and you find yourself putting it in a ponytail all the time, this might be a good option if you want something new and you don’t really want to get rid of the length in the front. You have to style your hair though most of the time so no more ponytails! I feel like this look can be worn by any age because it’s very young. The bangs are also very young. I chose this to make her feel young again for this 84-year-old woman. It succeeded because she was very bright!
Solid surfaces Textured BobWhat kind of customer do you suggest this look for? I recommend this look to someone who doesn’t like to fiddle too much with their hair or who has a busy lifestyle as you can throw your head over using the recommended product and walk out the door. I also find it suitable for people with fine hair to give them more volume and movement and not to weigh down the hair. For older women with round faces, I highly recommend this cut to give an elongated look.
Graduated Textured Bob

QA with> Stonerose Hair Studio in Toronto Ca How would you describe this look and what’s your favorite thing about it? This look is a textured graduated bob with a slight layering, especially when the hair is pushed forward, to create dimension and movement around the face. The customer wanted more volume and lift in the back, and this technique allows the customer to do it. I cut the base at an angle of 45 degrees, then lay the top and gave it an edgy fringe. I took out some weight after blowing drying by using a few textured techniques to create movement. To create this look, I used two products. The first one is called Mon Platin’s Black Caviar 12 in 1 Multi-Action hair cream. Kevin Murphy’s second one is called Young. Again. I sprayed the Black Caviar hair cream into the damp hair, then dried it up to around 85%. Then I took two Young pumps. Again emulsified it in my hands distributed throughout the hair then combed it through and rounded it with a large round brush to give fullness and volume. The reason I used the Young. Again oil in dried rough hair is because I find it slides right off if I use it in wet hair. The entire product ends up on the cutting floor rather than the hair itself. What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? I think this look is very versatile, so women of all ages can wear it. I think anyone can pull a bob off if the stylist is sufficiently skilled to make it work for the person sitting in his chair. This particular bob looks best on thick coarse hair as it gives the back lift and fullness all around. It is most attractive on a heart-shaped face and on someone who has a narrow chin but should be able to create this look on any face again by a professional stylist. You may tailor the look to the face shape with a full fringe or side fringe. This look is loved by young professionals or mature women. I feel they are empowered by it. Chic And Sporty

QA with> Guest House Hair Salonin Sherman Oaks Ca How would you describe this look and what’s your favorite? My favorite thing about this style is that although it is short, a lot of flexibility and height can be created due to its layering and shape, enabling the customer to turn this cut into different forms. It gives them the chance to change their hair for that day or evening to match their appearance. What products do you recommend for this look to be maintained and recreated? I would first analyze the client’s look to reproduce this look. That said, I usually recommend a styling mousse and a light spray gel for a styling cream. The list is endless because this cut’s flexibility allows the customer the ability to create as much texture and body as they want. I recommend using a soft spray wax to produce even more texture. A dry matte texture spray may be used for more size. For that extra hold, of course, a hairspray to finish is always a must! What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? It’s a very excentric look. For size, the layering on this bob haircut helps. My favorite part is that I do a quick blow dry to create more bounce after I’m done drying this style. This beautifully displays the layers. What products do you recommend for this look to be maintained and recreated? It’s up to the individual to build this exact style. I recommend using MoroccanOil Smooth Lotion to blow dry and MorrocanOil Molding Cream to break down the layers if the person has thick hair. It is best to use a volume mousse if the person has fine hair and follow up with MorrocanOil Molding Cream. What kind of customer would you recommend this look for? For all women who don’t like to spend too much time on their hair, this look is great. This style can be pulled off by any woman with anyone! Fresh Flirty and Versatile

What kind of customer would you recommend this look for?QA with> Salon Voloin Kenneth City Fl How are you going to describe this look and what’s your favorite? This look I’d describe as versatile. To people with medium to fine hair and medium thickness, I suggest this look. Thick and coarse hair is all right, but it may have to be cut differently. What items would you suggest for this look to be preserved and recreated? I used the new Redken Glow Dry Shampoo and Conditioner especially for this look. With Redken Glow Dry Serum, I used Redken Pillow Proof Cream for styling. What kind of customer would you recommend this look for? Attractive Silver Strands
QA with> LoneStar Salonin Tumwater Wa How are you going to describe this look and what’s your favorite? I’d define this timeless and trendy look, but with a twist because of the edgy paint. French Layered Shag
QA with Hairdresser / Owner This look is casual with a simple style switching between French girl chic and 70’s rock and roll queen. The inner layers and transitions that give it a fresh textured style are my favorite thing about it. It’s easy to wear and your personality is reflected. Any advice that someone thinks about it? This look is great for the on-the-go girl who can commit to at least two styling products and can take at least 10 minutes to style. Ideal for medium to fine hair and the sort of customer searching for hair movement. Beach waves gloss sea spray or texture clay is the best way to preserve this shag haircut’s clean and effortless look. Chic Short Shag Bob
QA with hairstylist / makeup artist How are you going to describe this look? My favorite thing about it is how it is a retro-style modern twist. Wearing it with large loose waves and balayage pops brings together this look. Anyone with this look is confident and sure to turn heads! The advice that someone thinks about it? A shag comes with all the layering and de-bulking that comes with having to dress it in one way or another. If you have some time on your hands, my favorite way of styling the shag is in broad loose waves. With almost all styles of hair, it looks incredible. Using a 1-inch iron (I used the curling iron Babylisspro Nano TitaniumSpring) pick small sections and curl away from the front side, then change curling directions. Another trick is to keep the ends out of the curl and give a pull to really boost the messy layered look. Spray some textured hairspray (Dryspun is my go – to bumble and bumble) and voila! How would you describe this look?Hair Artist Dark Hair Shag Edited with Master Stylist Bangs
QA How would you characterize this look? This look I describe as a tweaked shag. At the ends (almost like a lob) we kept it a little fuller rather than cutting it out as much as a true shag. I love this look, how sexy it is. The fullness created by the layers raises the size of the crown and the bangs and bits produce such a flattering face picture. It’s also extremely easy to wear this shag style. This performs as well as blown out or curled as well as air-dried and supported. The suggestions that someone feels about it? Shags come in different sizes and can be adjusted by the surface quantity and duration as well as the bangs / fringe type length and fullness. It can be worn by almost any face type and hair texture due to the many combinations that can be made with a shag. Keep in mind that the look is supposed to be a little messy and allured if you want to get a shag. That’s why it’s a shag!
Hairstylist Colorist Razored Shaggy Pixie Cut

The low maintenance quality of it while still looking trendy is my favorite thing about this look. With ease and minimal blow drying, it can be recreated at home. The suggestions that someone feels about it?This cut I would describe as having the nostalgic feeling of a classic short shag but with a modern makeover. The suggestions that someone feels about it? I should keep in mind that the pictured woman has fairly fine hair for any client considering this cut. If you look at this style and have thick and/or coarse hair, you might find it a little harder to style your hair without it looking poofy.
Owner / Stylist Instagram QA How would you describe this look? Definitely the look would be described as a messy shaggy bob. At the moment, I think this look is trendy because it’s a relatively easy style to achieve with a little effort at home. The suggestions that someone feels about it? Most notably, short hair is not always the best option to consider. But it’s simple for styling purposes once you get the hang of it. This look suits virtually anyone because the overall look of the waves is smooth. Playing with different lengths makes it easier to choose a length with which you feel comfortable and which suits your style. This look works best for a fine to medium-haired male. To give it that shaggy look and keep it requires, you will need to use some kind of product like mousse or textured mist. It’s the easiest way to get that perfect summer wave if your hair is quite curly or straight with a tong.
Feathered Short Cut

Colorist / Stylist Instagram QA How would you describe this look and what’s your favorite? What items would you suggest for this look to be preserved and recreated? I used Kenra Volumizing Spray at the root for this look and then blew it with a circular comb. I sprayed Kenra Professional Heat Block Spray after the hair was dry to cover when ironing flat. I sprayed Kenra Dry Texture Spray to finish. What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? For anyone with a fine to medium texture skin, I suggest this style. It gives the appearance of a more glamorous and up-to-date style.
Stylist Instagram QA How would you characterize this look and what’s your favorite? This look is a shagged bob with a very textured short fringe! From the point of view of a stylist, my favorite thing about it is that it is very personalized for every customer and fun to build tweaking little details can really make this cut special. What items would you suggest for this look to be preserved and recreated? This customer doesn’t like spending a lot of time on her body. She’s got a lot of natural wave and that’s part of why we liked that theme for her. I’ve decided to keep it easy. We used Aquage Sea Salt Spray for that messy living-in look with a diffuser. After that, I used a Hot Tools Curl Bar to wand any curls that I didn’t like in a direction that I finished off with L’anza’s Dry Texture spray to identify the texture and place it in some position. At home, she can easily achieve this look and it’s something that without shampoo can be worn for several days. What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? For anyone who is a little more daring out of the eclectic box and has no pin straight hair, I suggest this look. Don’t think about hairy peeps straight away! You can wear this style with just a little more effort with a little curling iron and love for the brand.

Edgy Shaggy Asymmetrical Bob

QA with Hairstylist This haircut is an asymmetric razor cut with a lot of layers that is highly textured. I love using the razor to create a haircut texture and then shape it with shears when it’s clean to produce an effortless haircut look that looks like shag. The suggestions that someone feels about it? I used 1 1/4 when styling this look? Curling iron alternating the path leaving the ends to give shaggy hairstyle to the allled beach wave. Aveda was all the things I used to create this look. I used the routine hair repair treatment for volumizing tonic damage when damp after curling and I also used the distinguishing whip protection hairspray. To help give it the shine, the use of a pomade is key to achieving this look.

If you’re the kind of person hop out of the shower and go you’re going to have to take a few more minutes just to throw in some product. There’s a great air dry butter. For an air dry cream, I usually recommend Bumble and Bumble Don’t Blow It. You can use some sea salt spray with the cream if you have a flatter hair texture. It’s quick and completely flexible for anyone.

Short shag hairstyles like this one offer a thick hair illusion with all the texture and layers. To contrast the dark espressor hair for that beautiful pop, add caramel highlights in some pops.

QA How would you characterize this look? Any suggestions that someone feels about it? I used the color line of Framesi for this particular look and they have some of the most stunning reds. For the highlight, I made babylight slices of foils. Because reds may sometimes appear to fade faster, I would recommend washing the hair with your stylist’s approved professional color safe shampoo and washing it in cooler water, both of which will avoid fading. Since it is a highlight, I will remind them that preserving this look would be every 6 weeks to fix the blonde and, if appropriate, to refresh the red. I feel that this cut is one that most people will style a lot, whether to straighten it or curl it. All styling techniques are great, but I would definitely recommend that they take home a heat-protective to keep the hair protected from the warm devices and never use any of them above 350 degrees.

QA How would you characterize this look? The suggestions that someone feels about it? This is a look of high maintenance! The red is going to fade. If you don’t wash with color-safe shampoo and cold water, the red bleeds and turns pink blonde. If you’re able to shampoo it the right way, however, this would be a beautiful look for anyone who loves red hair or wants a fall / darker autumn look! I wouldn’t suggest this to someone whose hair is damaged as well.
Blonde Mahogany Hair
Co-owner QA How would you describe this look? This look is a combination of different reds. I used a copper mixed with red mahogany and with a strawberry blonde I toned her blonde highlights. (9AA Shades Eq) This reminds me of a swirl of raspberry! The suggestions that someone feels about it? I would say to mix a bunch of different tones (especially with reds) for anyone looking to take their color up a notch. Using a mix of gold / copper / red often looks more natural and suits the skin tones of most people. This is also perfect for a customer who does not want to do a ton of work. To pull it off, you must have a firey personality! Short red hair with blonde highlights
This style strikes a nice balance of texture which stands out if you prefer more bright shades of color but still want to retain your natural hair. Having it in a short wavy hairstyle like this can be smoother. QA with Stylist This look is a shaggy quirky asymmetric bob full of texture and motion channeling a range of artistic appearances. This stands out and is not dull in the crowd. It’s the best part to play it up! The suggestions that someone feels about it? This is the look for lifestyle and adventurous personality seekers with a bit of fun! This fashionable haircut gives the best appeal on a square-shaped face that highlights the bone structure and strengthens the jawline. The cut works best as long as it is properly maintained with any hairstyle. I had so much fun creating the copper and red blonde dimensional colors and adding depth to enable automatic texture with or without styling. This took her base color to a deepened mahogany. Such combined colors were chosen to match her fair complexion of porcelain which carries a bit of neutrality that allowed me to be a little brighter than too neutral! Wearing this look is my go – to texture spray! It’s simple fun, keeping the hold and volume all day long, recreating the look you want. I used Oribe Texture Spray in this image to first add the fluff as the foundation and then started playing and created the style best suited for this chic rock! When you start playing with the spray of the surface, it may take you a minute to find the look you want. It’s just going to happen without even trying! Then to polish the look I took Glossing Wax from R+Co and I twisted the ends of her hair just using my fingertips as I fluffed for a little grungy look and boom! She’s famous for the rock star! The suggestions that someone feels about it? I truly believe what Audrey Hepburn said, There’s a shade of red for every woman. Red is so interesting that there are many variations: copper-based orange-based violet reds and even rich brown reds. It is a necessary step depending on how bright red the client often wants to pre-light the skin. Olaplex is a perfect way to maintain hair dignity during the process of lighting or coloring. We fade very quickly as beautiful as these bright reds, and home maintenance is important. I recommend using red booster shampoos (Pravana has a great option) every other wash as well as a standard color shampoo. Olaplex also has at-home Step 3 therapy that is great to keep the hair clean and vibrant.
Color Specialist Deep Red Hair with Blonde Highlights

QA How would you describe this look? This is a Red Sangria with highlights from copper and blonde. I love the size the fine highlights offer. When she wears it in an updo, you would also be able to see a lot of texture. For convenience, we decided to make a long layered haircut and show off the red mixed with the highlights of copper and blonde. For her blowout, I used Matrix Airy Builder Dry Texture gel, then curled with a 1 1/4 wand and finished with Matrix Oil Wonders. Using quality items at home to help stretch red tones and keep the highlights from becoming brassy. Keep in mind that red fades easily so that every 4-6 weeks this look will have to be preserved.
Blonde Highlights Fire Red Hair
How do you explain this look? One of my favourites is this stunning fiery red! I love to add even more color to the blonde highlights. I love adding various levels of light and dark to hold it dimensionally when I paint. I chose a layered bob for her hair cut that looks both straight and curled good. I really love surface hair styling products. These are made of natural organic ingredients and are perfect for sensitive people. I noticed a big difference in hair health. For extra hydration on her naturally curly hair, I used the Surface Bassu hydrating shampoo hydrating mask and their Bliss smoothing cream and Bassu oil. The suggestions that someone feels about it? Copper reds look best for average to medium-sized skin tones clients with blue or green eyes. It’s just awesome! For almost anyone, this haircut is perfect. The shortest length depends on the form of your face that your stylist can assist with. Most people tend to stay away from a bob if they have a round face but you can rock it as long as you keep the distance below your chin!

QA with Nail Tech cosmetologistHow would you characterize this look?
QA with Stylist I’m naming this Amber Love feel! The deep red base melted into a golden balayage reminds me of the gemstone so much. Her long hair is complemented by medium-length layers and a face frame that enables a great deal of fashion flexibility and versatility. The suggestions that someone feels about it? Go ahead with it! Especially if you have red hair just adding the scan will give you a whole new look with little maintenance. Just 2-3 times a year the balayage has to be reached. Otherwise, depending on your hair growth natural starting color and if gray hair is present, it’s just a base touch every 4-8 weeks. To ensure proper care and condition of your hair and maximum longevity of your color, professional products are always a must. If you don’t already have one, find a stylist who has color and scanning expertise and is able to provide you with their professional opinions and guidance. Finding a stylist who is excited to be part of your beauty journey is equally important as well. Remember any hairstyle you’ve always had to make you feel lovely and confident!
Blonde

QA with Stylist How would you describe this look? This look is a favorite of mine. My client has blonde strawberry hair on the natural level 7, so I made alowlight with two separate reds one red copper and the other red violet. Just this last appointment I added highlights for extra dimension together with these two lowlights. By weaving baby fine and close together foils, I built this, because the blend looks so perfect. The suggestions that someone feels about it? Red can be an undertaking. A stubborn and beautiful dedication. Red fades rather earlier than other shades that are more natural, but it stays better the more you color it like that. From the 3rd time your hair is colored red, you will have a better life than you would have the 1st or 2nd. Washing in cold water certainly helps the longevity of the red color. A shampoo that is sulfate-free / color safe is also a great help. The less you clean, the best way to keep the color locked in is always. I think if you’re thinking of red, there are so many different red variations that you or your stylist might find one that would complement your skin tone, especially if it’s combined with a dimension highlight. I’d also recommend measures for babies to tackle red hair. Start with a few lowlights before you jump in, particularly if you’re on the fence because using lightener (bleach) above freshly colored or once colored red will take time to lift past the orange level. To my view red is always chic, depending on the look you want to achieve, it can be light, subtle and elegant or dark, bright and show-stopping. The perfect combination is red paired with blonde. Licensed Cosmetologist Dark to Golden Brown Ombre

QA How would you describe this look? My client wanted her natural hair color to warm up and add blonde through the ends. To give her a rich brown color through the top, I used a golden violet brown and mixed it into a golden shadow. She wanted a look at the water, so I used a 1 to dress her? Curling iron to send golden waves to her loose. The suggestions that someone feels about it? The ombrà © is low maintenance, so this color is ideal for the busy working woman who is unable to visit the salon every six weeks. How would you characterize this look?
Rich Cocoa Hair Color
This look is a spinning classic brunette. This color is a moist multi-dimensional, rich approximation of the classic brown chocolate hair we all know and love. Using the natural hair color as a shadow root is the perfect way to seamlessly blend all the colors while maintaining very low maintenance of the grow-out process. This mid-length haircut is combined with long invisible layers and slight face framing bits to add subtle movement and improve the color that makes the hair look thinner. The suggestions that someone feels about it? The color is great for a natural brunette who wants to try something different without being too drastic or who wants to add some texture to their hair without committing completely. For anyone looking for a color that will develop slowly and not require constant maintenance, this look is great. Styling the beachy waves hair adds messy undone yet polished texture to this appearance making the colors pop. For those who do not wash their hair every day, this is the perfect style because the texture only gets better with time. Mauve Red Brown
Creating a chocolate brown foundation with mauve undertone is a subtle way to create an elegant look. Quick fashion for any form of haircut and size, trendy and low-maintenance. Hairstylist QA
Dark Chocolate Brown And Mahogany Red Hair
Perfect for olive skin red mahogany gives the impression of a funky and punky image but exclusive. Great when paired with dark chocolate and edgy slice! How are you going to describe this look? A client who wanted to look fun and bright was asked for this reddish brown with bold red accents. I tried to do that without being too tacky or too young. We kept the top long and a trendy undercut was offered to her. For straight or curly hair, this cut will work well! Naturally, she has curly hair and was looking for versatile styling options. The suggestions that someone feels about it? I think a lot of different hair styles and face shapes flatter this style. Seek to accept your natural texture (at least a couple of days a week) so with heat styling you won’t damage your hair. Nothing is more than that. Try not to shampoo as often for reds that are relatively high in maintenance and use a color-safe shampoo and temperate water. Please join the root touch ups to refresh the red for a gloss!
Colorist / Makeup Artist Dark Chocolate Brown Red
QA How would you describe this look? A strawberry color coated with chocolate is a bolder take on natural hair with very rich and moist underlying tones. I shaped it to add more dimension with gentle flat iron waves when the light hits it. I like this color still has a lot of depth to it so it will look different in all sorts of lighting and generate some subtle flexibility. The suggestions that someone feels about it? A cool, toned red like this would best compliment a cool or neutral skin like bronze olive or gold. I’d insist on using a color-friendly shampoo and conditioner like Loma Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner as well as a heat-protective if you’re planning on heat styling. With red being the largest molecule in color, you will need to take special care to prevent fading as well as keep up with regular glazing to re-vamp the color if necessary.
Orange Undertones Dark Chocolate
I encourage you to embrace the color fade-out era! Experiencing change as it happens can be exciting and fun and you can have some power over what it looks like! Aftercare is a key component of any color. Purchase a conditioner enhanced in color. In this situation, she used a copper-pigmented conditioner to assist with the color’s vibration over time. Instead of a red conditioner, we chose a copper conditioner because the copper provides more benefits for her brown hair as well as her new red hair. Copper provides heat and light, which means a rich brown stay and a bright red stay!
Chocolate Brown Base Hair With Toffee Highlights
QA with Hairstylist How are you going to describe this look and what is your favorite? This looks like a deep warm chocolate hair color with highlights of toffee around her eyes. Her hair is cut into a long bob to accentuate her highlights and styled into loose waves. The dimension is my favorite thing about this look! I love all kinds of brunette hair colors. Which items do you suggest that this look be created and maintained? I used a Babyliss Pro 1 1/4-inch iron to give her the loose waves and finish it with a 10-inch shine spray. Using Paul Mitchell dual purpose lightener, I used Igora Royal for her base color and colored her highlights. For someone with a warm skin tone, this is a great hair color. The highlights of balayage make this very low maintenance as there is no rough line of regrowth. Lob haircuts all look good! For someone who wants to spend time flat ironing or curling, it’s the perfect length, but they can wear or braid it as well. It’s all fun!
Dark Brunette Balayage
QA with Vicky Macias Hairstylist / Colorist Style Creator How would you describe this look and what’s your favorite? This look is a test done on a base color of deep brunette. It was her second lightening session from a previous box dye at home. We both enjoyed the beautiful shades that were created during the lighter process! My favorite thing about this look is the soft tone transformation and the color’s lovely dimensional pops. To create and maintain this look, what products do you recommend? I still advise my customers to use a purple toned product like Kenra Brightening Product once a week to keep brass at bay to preserve this look at home. I always consider using a once – a-week hair treatment like Joico K-Pak Reconstructor to keep the hair vibrant and clean. Healthy hair is a beautiful colour! What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? The benefit of scanning is that colors and lengths can be personalized for all hair types. It is perfect for a customer who wants a low-maintenance look that does not need frequent trips to retouch the roots. Unlike the lines that can be present, balayage develops gently and blended with typical foil highlights. It can look great for months with the right at-home care!
Examples of Dark Chocolate and AuburnWhat kind of customer do you suggest this look for? This look is great for any type of hair. I used the method of scanning. For women who live active lifestyles, balayage techniques are perfect. It’s a low-maintenance look that ensures the regrowth should look natural without the presence of hard lines that can come with conventional highlights. As the hair grows out, in the summer it will feel as if the sun kissed it. Mixed with auburn colors, chocolate brown hair is perfect for summer fun.
Dark Hair Molten Chocolate Brown Balayage
Hairstylist QA How would you describe this look and what is your favorite? This look is a simple and subtle balayage. To add pop and depth, I love how the light reflects off the colored objects. The colored pieces often reveal the layer depth and are built for the perfect curl of the wave. To create and maintain this look, what items do you recommend? A beautiful girl came in with an all-light foundation grown out and a previous balayage. Using a deposit only color we matched her natural base color and deliberately left out bits from the previous check. Then we took her to the bowl and toned the remaining pieces to get a more blended feel. What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? For a client looking for a natural look that will last, I suggest this paint. It’s great for someone who doesn’t want to be every four weeks in the salon. This form of balayage would also help a bride as it simply enhances the natural beauty. The light pieces remove the appearance of a bland single-tone color and in all of her photos add illumination to her eyes. Both colors should compliment a girl with a medium or olive skin tone. Nearly any form of hair can wear such a color, but obviously the long luscious locks of this beauty really show all the size and depth.
Dimensional Hot Chocolate Brown

QA with Stylist How are you going to describe this look and what is your favorite? This is a natural look to add depth and warmth to balayage highlights. It’s great for someone with a cooler skin tone and wavy to wavy hair.
Black and Dark Chocolate
What kind of customer would you recommend this look for? I recommend this look for a customer who enjoys her brown hair and looks better around her body with a dark color but needs to be lighter. The complexity and texture of this color allows several different complexions to wear it, but these particular colors are best suited to a medium tone for a cool skin tone. This customer has very thick hair, making it ideal for maintenance. The lighter color at the ends and around the eyes, the more it grows, makes it more lived-in and organic. Minimum maintenance is necessary, especially if there is no grey!
QA with Senior Stylist / Colorist How would you describe this look and what’s your favorite thing about it? I label it a brunette balayage with a foundation of dark brunette colour. My favorite part of this and all my balayages is how they compliment each other in two colors. They look like they’re melting together and it looks natural and dry. I love the richness of both colors as well. This contributes to the hair life! To create and maintain this look, what items do you recommend? What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? I recommend this look to customers who want a classic and effortless look for low maintenance. This look includes an initial scan and a finish of the glaze. With the same time frame as a six to eight-week haircut, this can be done. To consumers who want a subtle shift from summer blonde highlights to a fall look, I always suggest this coloring.
Beauty Artist / Colorist Cocoa Milk Brunette
QA How would you describe this look and what is your favorite? This look is a rich brunette of chocolate with caramel hair painting with most of the lightness centered on the hair ends. I love the brunette scanning approach because it produces hair movement. Which items do you suggest that this look be created and maintained? I used the Blow Dry Primer from Davines to help the natural hair volume and smooth the cuticle. Upon drying and curling with a 1 1/4-inch curling iron spray with a thin hairspray for retaining but not weighing it down. Eventually, run your fingers gently to separate the curls. For someone who wants a low maintenance color and is unable to visit the salon every four to six weeks to root touch ups, this look would be perfect. On women with warm skin tones, the rich tones in this color will look great. Highlights of Chocolate Brown Base and Honey
For someone on the go on a budget or both, this is the perfect chocolate brown hair. Retouches are almost unnecessary and only ten balayage slants are required to build. In less than an hour, she was in and out! My client has straight hair that was never previously painted. This is great for the customer who wants to dip their toe in hair color waters.
Rich Mocha Brown
Hairdresser QA How do you explain this look and what’s your favorite? Everyone has different interpretations of this look, but it seems delicious to me. With a light and refreshing touch, this chocolate brown hair color looks rich and natural. I really like when colors are played together and when different lighting emerges. It looks different and beautiful every moment. Which items do you suggest that this look be created and maintained? I used natural brown paint blended in deep 5 with dark chocolate hair color, then I applied freelights closer to the eyes to freshen it. What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? In women who have hazel light green or blue or brown eyes, this hair color would look nice. With a yellow-beige golden-brown peach or ivory or skin that tans quickly, it will also go well. If I think of my customers who have very similar hair colors, they are all very busy to enjoy life and this expressive hair looks great at them. In particular in coloring strategies, they always like to try something new.
Two-tone brunette chocolate locks

This dual-tone brown chocolate hair is a big beauty envy source. The color is hot and vivid in abundance. Unconspicuous and daring to look more attractive.
Cinnamon Chocolate Brown Layers
QA with Stylist How are you going to describe this look and what’s your favorite? This is a beautiful brown chocolate color with a v-layered cut enhanced. My customer asked for something that wouldn’t need too much maintenance or decoration. My favorite thing about this look is how both the color dimension and the visual interest in the cut combine with little effort to create a beautiful style. To create and maintain this look, what products do you recommend? How would you describe this look and what’s your favorite thing about it? This is a subtle but effective alteration of the golden brown to retain the natural attributes of a brunette while altering their entire look. I want more natural and mixed looks because it’s a big change and a completely different set of locks, but it’s still true to the brunette’s natural undertones. Whether it’s an ice cold brown ash hot golden bronde or a spicy sweet caramel, it’s the ultimate result for all to enjoy! Which items do you suggest that this look be created and maintained? Based on the hair texture and thickness of the customer, the services can differ. Usually I go with a softer lightener (because we don’t go for the lightest shades) and finish with a toner that tones evenly and gets us to the desired brown shade! What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? This look is perfect for consumers who want to improve but don’t want to go too far away from their natural colour. It’s great for working moms and students who don’t have time every two months to get their roots done and for those of us with warmer tones in our skin and eyes. This particular client is a young student who was playing with color for the first time and who didn’t want to go too far. Whatever the justification and need for this look is sure to take a couple of times and make your friends and family say I want hair like that! Dark Brunette to Chestnut Ombre Hair
QA to Stylist How would you describe this look and what’s your favorite? This look is trendy and my clients are highly sought after. A must have for the fall season is the dark chocolate brown base with a hot caramel and chestnut-tone balayage. My favorite part of this look would be how it melts all the warm tones. This balayage blends beautifully together to complement every color used to build this look. We are always educating our customers as stylists to keep their hair clean, which is why I suggest the shampoo and conditioner Keune Tinta Hair Care. This will extend the life of the warm colors we’ve acquired while keeping the hair’s wellbeing intact. I recommend the Keune Press Wax for texture to help hold curl and the Keune Blend (Wax and De-Frizz) items to achieve the brightness that really makes those colors pop! What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? To complement the warm colors of this look, this balayage would best look at someone with naturally dark brown hair and medium-beige skin tones. On both long and shorter haircuts, I was able to create this color. This balayage is perfect from college students to business women for almost every age group. Any sort of working woman may wear this look while still being professional with the colors being subtle and trendy. This long style looks amazing with beachy waves pulled back for elegance or left down.
Hazelnut Brown Color Highlights
QA with HairstylistThis particular look is great for virgin hair brunettes that are 5 to 2 dark brown to black levels. Whoever is a natural brunette with this hair color skin tone will look good in this case doesn’t matter. I think it complements each individual’s different features and looks great with brown and hazel blue green eyes.
Ash Chocolate Brown
What’s your favorite thing about this look? I’d characterize this look as a low-maintenance color and style beach textured medium size. My favorite thing about it is how beautiful it is and how simple it is. What products do you recommend that this look be created and maintained? With Redken’s Pillow Proof Express Dry Primer and also the Diamond Oil, I prepare the hair for styling like this. Blow soft and smooth dry then curl 1-inch pieces away from the ends. Spray with Redken’s Pillow Proof Two Day Extender in between sections and finish with Redken’s Wind Blown Spray. I always recommend using a color-safe shampoo and conditioner like Redken’s Color Extend Magnetics line. The type of guest for whom this look is great is the girl on the go whoever is under-maintained and whoever likes that look lived-in. It’s great for anyone with a darker hair color who wants to add a small dimension as well as for guests who like to spread their time between visits to the salon.
Dark Chocolate Brown Bob
What’s your favorite thing about this look? This look is a brown-angled chocolate bob with some custom features to match the hair type and facial features of the client. In the back, there is a secret taper to reduce bulk and a lot of texture to give her volume without dealing with shaggy layers. To create and maintain this look, what items do you recommend? A volumizing mist combined with a smoothing cream will help her achieve a frizz-free bodified blowout. To finish the look, using a dry texture spray will give her some grit and volume to show the texture. What kind of customer do you suggest this look for?
Caramel Brown Balayage Sunkissed
QA with Hairdresser / Balayage ArtistTip: Brushing upwards produces a smooth blend and positions hair in a foil instead of air drying ensures optimum lifting. Phase 3: Understand where your hair is separated by your customers. This allows you to put some bold pieces around the split area and build the piece of cash that everyone wants! Stage 4: My customer processed with light heat until she was at rate 6/7 (about 20 minutes). We rinsed and glazed on damp hair and washed for 15 minutes with Joico Lumishine 6NA and 6N. We rinsed again and spent 10 minutes using Olaplex Number 2. We cleaned the cut and colored afterwards. Babyliss Titanium Curling Iron 13?4-inch Joico Hair Shake Liquid to Powder (spray on dry hair before and after curling the hair to get that textured look) What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? I give this brown chocolate hair to most of my dark-haired clients, whether they have straight or curly hair, but I think it’s a more curl color. Such sunken strands are flexible on just about everybody and I think a bit of color can go a long way!
Cappuccino Color Melting
How would you characterize this look and what’s your favorite? It looks like a low maintenance yet sexy color melting, I would explain. I love how the dark root blends into the light blonde so seamlessly. We like to keep a high contrast between her body. To create and maintain this look, what items do you recommend? I’m a big Wella Color Touch fan. Each color I do with Wella is made. A qualified color-safe shampoo and conditioner, along with the Joico purple shampoo used one to two days every two weeks, is always recommended for the maintenance. What kind of customer would you recommend this look for?
Blonde Chocolate Hair
QA with Salon Owner / Hairstylist I would describe this look as the perfect fall look. My favorite thing about it is that you get the blonde’s pops, but you get to go a little on the dark side! Which items do you suggest that this look be created and maintained? I just recommend a good shampoo and the exact type of conditioner depends on what type of hair you’ve got. I love Mousse Aircraft from R+Co. After curling it, I put it in the hair! It gives you the perfect volume, but it’s not crunchy and sticky. What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? I’d have to say that anyone can pull this look off but I’d suggest it mainly to people who want low-maintenance hair and just want to get it freshened every six months! What products do you recommend that this look be created and maintained? I always tell my customers that they must invest in good shampoo if they invest in their hair color! Redken Color Magnetics shampoo is a brand that I love. It is free from sulfate which prevents the color from fading. I always advise my customers to secure their hair during heat styling, and I love Kenra Blow Out Spray and Kenra Revive Oil for that. What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? For someone who wants something natural and easy to maintain, I think this is a great color. In fall / winter, it’s a beautiful color when consumers want a richer, hot color feel. It’s perfect for all styles of hair and I think it really suits almost any skin because it’s pretty neutral and not too dark. With this hue, fair skin tones should look brightened. I often think on darker or olive skin tones it looks beautiful because it highlights the hot undertones of those complexions. Creamy Chocolate Highlights
QA with Color Expert and Hair Stylist How are you going to describe this look and what is your favorite? Which items do you suggest that this look be created and maintained? With 30 volume developer and a shot of Smart Bond from L’Oréal, I used Wella Blondor to secure the hair through the lighting cycle. Using Saran Wrap, I colored each piece by hand and separated pieces. Next I toned all equal parts with L’Oréal Dia Richesse 7.13 7.31 8.13 and 8.31. As I said, this was done three months ago, so maintenance is very minimal, but I prescribe toners between appointments every six to eight weeks. What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? I think scanning is one of my favorite trends because it’s perfect for anyone. It’s the perfect style for someone who’s searching for something low-maintenance for someone who can’t or doesn’t like being in the living room as often or someone who wants to add something to their hair without coming to the living room very often!
Color and Extension Expert QA How would you characterize this look and what’s your favorite? I would characterize this look as a balayage of soft beige / chocolate. My favorite thing about it is how small it’s maintenance but can be quickly expanded on for a lighter, more detailed look at the same time. Kerastase L’incredible Blowout Leave-In was the material I used to produce this gentle and more relaxed curl. I ended by brushing out the curls with the Oribe Texturizing Spray. To keep the shine, I recommend coming in every six to eight weeks for a toner / gloss. What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? I recommend this look for more olive teint as the warmth of the two would work together well. The hair density is significant because it plays an important role in the dimensional look, but it is not a requirement. For someone who is tired of having solid dark hair and wants to spice it up a little without being overwhelmed, this color is great. What products do you recommend that this look be created and maintained? To create and maintain this look, I recommend using All Style Blow Dry bumble and bumble for heat control and Thickening Hairspray bumble and bumble at the root for consistency and retention. Blow the hair in the opposite direction, then use a 1-inch curling iron on large sections that leave out the ends. Using Bumble and bumble Dryspun Finish, take out the curls at the end of the styling and add texture. What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? For the low maintenance client, I suggest this look. It’s perfect for someone who loves the dimensional look but has no time to regularly return to the salon. You will achieve the brightness you want to make it normal and easy every time you visit the salon by painting highlights through the mids and ends. Brown to Caramel Beige Blonde Hair
QA with Hairstylist / Colorist How are you going to describe this look and what is your favorite? Which items do you suggest that this look be created and maintained? To create this feel, I used Joico’s favorite clay lightener called Free Play to produce a seamless blend together with my 2-inch chip paint brush! To complement her dark features and olive skin tone, I toned her with a medium blonde beige brown using the Guy Tang Mydentity color line in half-permanent. To finish this look, I blowed her curled with a 1-inch curling iron and then combed with a big tooth comb through the curls for a more all-encompassing feel! What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? This look suits most brunettes who want their balayage to be low in maintenance and durability without a color contrast! Sunkissed With Dark Lowlights
QA with Color Specialist How are you going to describe this look and what is your favorite? Which items do you suggest that this look be created and maintained? With her highlights as well as for Olaplex, I used Goldwell Oxy and 30 vol. I added super dark lowlights of chocolate with Colorance Cover Plus level 5 to add depth. With Redken Shades eq, I glossed her. What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? For anyone looking for a low maintenance paint, this look is great. It is an idea for texture of fine to medium hair, which is a natural level of 5-7. The hair can be worn straight, but just put waves in the hair with an iron to achieve this exact look.
To achieve this look, I used all Kevin Murphy products. I used Young. Again hair oil and Smooth. Again styling cream then finished Resort. Spray for motion on dry hair / What kind of customer do you suggest this look? I recommend this style to just about anyone, but I firmly believe that any haircut style can be worn by anyone as long as the layers fringe and color are specific to the consumer. We kept a very natural color for her. To bring out her skin tone and eyes, we chose a little balayage to brighten up her face with golden natural tones.
