Freehand Fade Hightop

For those with a soft bone structure, this clean modern cut uses a flat top technique and a freehand scissor fade cut to create a wearable look. Just be sure to work with a pro barber who knows how this organized and balanced cut can be done. How would you characterize this look?

Short Afro

My favorite thing about the fading flat top is that it is a dedication to angles of precision while emphasizing the conventional incremental fade. It’s one of those haircuts that has been grafted for men into every type of culture and body. I saw that it was a part of the time and a new comment. The suggestions that someone feels about it? I like to recommend this haircut to black men with natural hair who are not afraid to spend time changing their appearance from day to day. One day the haircut is correct and dry. A natural oil-based cream can be added after shampooing and hair conditioning. Using a circular motion foam sponge on the hair will produce manicured curls that shine this exact haircut and texture. It gives choices to a guy.

With a professional edge, I would characterize this look as bold. It’s a perfect blend of toughness and competence, my favorite thing about this slice. This wavelength taper requires low maintenance, which during the winter season does not leave clients cold. The suggestions that someone feels about it? For someone who wants a longer wavelength on top, this is a great break. The beard’s continuous flow at a low length always gives a clean look.

Waves Design

Instagram QA with Barber This look is described as The Waves. The criss-cross pattern is symbolized as a free culture movement and positive inspiration movement! I love the look because it’s exclusive and not like anybody else I’ve ever seen. It’s a type of statement that displays authority gestures while staying playful! The suggestions that someone feels about it? You devote yourself completely to this look, or do it at all. You can’t be reluctant. To win it, you are in it! Anyone with the confidence, regardless of gender or ethnic background, can rock this look. High Top Fade with Disconnected Part

Instagram QA with Barber How are you going to describe this look and what is your favorite? What products to recreate this look are you recommending? I like to use the Senior Wahk. I used 0.5 on both sides of 1.0 and 1.5 to match the sides with a zero on the back for guards. I used an afro comb and scissors on top. I used the shape-up or line-up T Liners. What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? Many customers will wear this look well with a round or oval face shape. It would be rough and soft the ideal type of hair.

Any advice that someone thinks about it? I recommend using a removable blade clipper with a 1 1/2 blade of their preferred variable blade clipper electric shaver / finisher trimmer razor blade and shears for the barber / stylist trying to recreate this look. I decided to go with a pomade for coloring to add shine to the hair and to lay down the hair as well. To a client with short over curly textured hair, I suggest this hairstyle. The style is great for professionals and consumers who need a low level of maintenance.

Instagram QA with Barber Braided Man Bun with Mid Fade

How would you describe this look and what is your favorite thing about it? This look is the mid-skin braided man bun. The best thing about this look is that in a professional or casual environment it can be worn. What products to recreate this look are you recommending? What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? This look is recommended for the trustworthy modern-day man who is looking for a clean yet versatile style that works from business to leisure. Even though with a round and/or oval-shaped face, this style looks best any face shape will work. The best result comes with decent hair density and matching confidence.

Instagram QA with Barber How would you describe this look and what’s your favorite thing about it? With a fading beard line up and curls on top, this particular look is a high bald taper. This is a fairly common haircut with the exception of the fading beard. Fading out the beard is a relatively new phenomenon that has become more common over the past few years. It gives their beard a bit more thorough and clean look to the customer. The curled style on top has been around for a while, but with the release of a product called curl sponge, which I used to bring out the curls for this particular haircut, has become more popular. You should give a finished curled look to the top of customers with coarse hair instead of just forming the hair out now. There are many different products that can be used throughout this haircut service as well as products that can be used to finish and style the customer. To finish the thorough beard, I suggest rashing gel to detail the beard and beard oil. You can also use hairspray to lock the curls on top after curling it and, if you want to give the client a shiny look, aftershave and maybe oil sheen. Please remember if the client has gray hair so you can use a semi-permanent coloring or an enhancement to get rid of the white. A procedure that I use with the dye or enhancement not only applies to the gray but also to the hairline of the client to produce a clearer and more complete look. What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? There’s no hair texture I can’t handle at this point, but if I had to choose it would be someone with a light scalp and black hair.

What items to recreate this look are you recommending? It doesn’t take too many things for this haircut. Typically I only use a shapeup lining spritz. The most will be achieved by clippers and a razor. What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? What I like about a skin fade is that it can be pulled off by everyone. On top you can have long hair and skin fade it or you might have a buzz cut. Either way it works! For somebody with a healthy scalp and no dry spots / rashes on their faces, I would suggest this cut for the best results. Such stuff would be exposed to this slice much more.

Barber Instagram QA How would you describe this look and what’s your favorite? All I love about the cut is its low maintenance. For those on the go, it’s also a great summer cut. While you should seek professional advice on shave techniques and growth patterns, the overall look can be preserved at home. To encourage growth and add moisture to the skin underneath, a beard pick and an all-natural beard balm should be used for the beard. What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? For the distinguished gentleman or a man who is naturally thinning in the crown area, this stylish look is great.

This look is flexible as well as being able to work in a business or casual environment. My favorite thing about this look is that the maintenance is very low. If appropriate, I would prescribe a shampoo and conditioner and suggest a brand that suits the hair texture of the customer best (i.e. mousse pomade or gel). Bold Mohawk

The unusual diagonal patterns paired with the yellow tips on those twists make this one of the most bold and confident looks right now. How would you describe this look and what’s your favorite thing about it? First of all, it can be hard to do a hair model on the side of the head because you don’t have a lot of room to work with. The one thing I really enjoy doing is simple and bold geometric designs. If you go too tiny and delicate it will last at most only a couple of days, but if you go bolder you will have a lot of contrast between the skin and the design it will last much longer. What items to recreate this look are you recommending? What kind of customer do you suggest this look for? One that needs to be careful!

Low Fade With Barber Hard Part

QA How would you describe this look and what’s your favorite about it? I’d describe this haircut with a part as a low fade. My favorite part about this haircut is the fade part that makes the haircut even more pop-out. The top also lets the trim fall out. Which items to recreate this look are you recommending? Spritz is the brand I use for this haircut. It freezes the hair in place, making the edge more accurate. I also use oil colors that make the hair shiny and smooth and silky. Rose gold on a shoulder-long wavy lob is certainly one of the most sought-after looks at the moment. Both the layers and the separation make it even more attractive and flirtious.

Hair Artist / Owner Long Thick Layers

QA How would you describe this look? This look is a long bob with framing layers of soft face. I love the way the delicate balayage shows the cut’s texture and movement. Any advice that someone thinks about it? My model has curly hair, but effortlessly loves it. To send her the desired results, I used the Unite Lazer Straight Line.

Bob

How do you describe this look? I feel it’s a pretty low maintenance and cut color. For a more natural look, the best part about this look is how the blonde highlights are slightly darker towards the root. Gorgeous medium hairstyles are often focused on layers for thick hair. The suggestions that someone feels about it? This look needs some shaping so it’s best to blow it out with a round brush. Then use a flat iron to create waves that are loose.

I recommend this to more casual people who want low-maintenance hair and don’t need a lot of time to take care of themselves. The color is dropping and it looks more beautiful, only only twice a year for maintenance. It’s a timeless body, matching oval and round eyes. How would you characterize this look?

Thick V-Cut

The length of Cathi’s hair was just below the ears. The color was a copper tone of level 7. We’ve given any suggestions for someone to find it? Cathi has a long face so that the smaller parts around her face create the illusion of a full face while still maintaining size. Changing your color or even adding a few extensions to build the hair style you want is a perfect way to look like a new hair!

QA in Los Angeles CA Independent Hairstylist How would you describe this look? This look is a sleek blowout completed with a round angled haircut. Actually the best thing about this customer is how thick her hair is! I like to work with thicker hair. It may be a challenge, but that’s what I love most about it frankly. This gives me skin to work with and I love making my clients feel better about their hair and the finished result is so worth this. The suggestions that someone feels about it? On most aspects of the head, this haircut can be attractive. It would depend on how short the layering and face-framing layers can be, depending on your face shape. Based on their particular face shape and features, I like to customize the layers for each user. A brand I loved is the Number 4 Hair Care Smoothing Balm. (https:/www.number4hair.com/shop/style/smoothing-balm/) This product leaves your hair so smooth and smooth! For blow-drying coarse thick mane, it helps tremendously to keep it from frizzing later. For most lifestyles, this haircut and style can be made to work. If you’re wearing your hair relatively frequently, just be sure to keep your layers on the longer side so that they can still touch the ponytail and don’t need to be pinned. This was my own go – to look as I have thick coarse wavy hair myself. That said, the curlier hair that you have the longer I recommend that you have your layers unless you want to smooth your hair more often because shorter layers produce more weight.

Stylist Cut

QA How would you characterize this look? This medium-length layered haircut for thick hair is very low maintenance, but a fun hairstyle! The color goes a long way, for starters. This is a technique known as balayage. I love to do it because you can really use your creativity and paint pieces where you think they look best. We do some scanning parts in the front with this client to blend in her gray and get that dimensional look. We do love to see the bits of money in the front as it makes the whole look! It’s hard to be blonder when you’re a natural brunette. This is the perfect look of low maintenance, without becoming a washed out blonde and without the damage. I even lowlight the rest to give her an awesome brunette voice!Hairstylist QA Cut Lob

How would you characterize this look? Alisa has an amazing hair head that looks great no matter how we choose to style it, but I’d add that my favorite thing about this look is probably the vibrant color and the effortless style that even she can achieve at home. The suggestions that someone feels about it? There is a lot of versatility in this slice. It’s certainly one of the salon’s most popular cuts. Many elements of it can be adjusted to be ideal for thin or thick hair, such as adding shorter layers of bangs to match face shape or more textured ends. However, sometimes having shorter hair is not as easy as it seems, as I always point out to my customers. You might have less hair to do every morning, for instance, but styling is usually needed every day to battle bed head and it’s not as easy as putting your hair in the old standby – a ponytail. The best advice I can give to anybody is not every day washing their hair! A must-have natural shampoo! If you haven’t found one you want, ask your stylist for a hair style suggestion. Not all dry shampoos are created equal, but it’s life changing when you find the right one for you! This can save a lot of time too, so if you’re looking for a lower maintenance schedule is all you need! With this style you can blast it straight flat iron or use an iron to push some waves through it in the top layer rake your finger and you just walked out of the feel of the salon!

QA with Celebrity Hairstylist / Owner How are you going to describe this look? The most important dialog I have about their lifestyle with my clients. When I can’t feel assured that my client will be able to recreate the look they left in my practice, I will rethink my approach. Yeah, of course, I would often like to do what I want to the hair of my client, but it’s all about lifestyle at the end of the day. The suggestions that someone feels about it? For thick hairstyles, the number one thing for shoulder length is that they will definitely need a brand. You can’t make an egg-free cake! This haircut and color is so perfect as it’s a women’s look that 1. Care for their hair dignity and no over processing 2. I’m going to be able to do it myself and 3. Have the skin textured. Of course, the shape of the face is important. At the points of your best facial features, you always want to begin layers. A leave-in conditioner is one of my favorite go to it to begin with. Find the transparent oil primer of Bumble and Bumbles as it is perfect and convenient to retain moisture. It’s perfect for anyone who has texture in their hair from a light wave to curly hair, followed by a silicone wrap lotion. Kera Care Mazani Shea Moisture, of course, are all brands carrying this. If you need a little more once you’ve dried it, I like to keep things simple. To help the shape, use a curling iron to shape and refine a soft aerosol hairspray. Using tools is my last suggestion! I can’t say how necessary it is to have a good curling iron brushes blow dryer diffuser. My favorite blowdryer is Parlux with the best hands all around Ibiza round brushes. They come with a heat glove to keep you from burning! YS park is my favorite diffuser as it dries your hair without blowing it all over the place.

QA with Stylist How would this look be described? This look is for someone who is dedicated to curly hair and has accepted their curls. This haircut is done on a lady who is working in a corporate world. She needs hair styling for low maintenance. After her post-workout routines, we also kept her style versatile. To make them stand out from the crowd, we formed their curls and modified them with a fashion color to make a little pop. Although she keeps it casual, she has both a bit of sass. How are you going to describe this look? To women with medium thick hair, this is a great mid-length layered style. It has lots of movement inside while maintaining a tighter form at the edges. This style is perfect for someone who grows a stacked bob or someone who wants to add some life and fun to their long hair on their back. This is a very flexible style that can be worn for a more carefree look as elegant and stylish pictured or flipped out. I love the cut’s motion and flexibility. It’s one of my favorite looks because it works for almost any face shape with just a little variation. Any advice that someone thinks about it? This cut works for all styles of hair, but on medium to coarse hair it really shines. With a round comb, broad barrel curling iron or flatiron, styling for this cut can be achieved. My products are mousse for texture blow-dry cream with a light grip on the midshaft to ends for the body and a paste or pomade to separate the layers after heat styling. If desired, you can end with a light-hold hairspray. Face-Framing Layers

QA with Owner / Hairstylist How would you characterize this look? The suggestions that someone feels about it? This haircut is perfect for those who don’t want to go to the length of a bob, but can’t handle the long hairstyles. It works best with someone who has a thickness between medium and dense. It can work with many face shapes as the edge of the A-line helps elongate and the concave shaggy layering can generate width and weight. This haircut can match the lifestyle of anybody – its fresh youthful and sexy is simple! Items that you should consider for this look are a spray of beach texture to add volume and movement and a spray of dry texture to complete the hairstyle.

Stylist Collarbone Inverted Lob

QA How would you characterize this look? This look is an inverted slice of the bob. It’s when the hair in the back becomes progressively shorter, then in the front slowly grows longer. What I love about this look is that anyone can wear it and rock it. Your hair can be curly or flat, thick and it works! You can do this in an inverted lob, which is a longer bob, or look shorter length. It’s extremely trendy and something that’s never really going out of style. As a hairstylist, this style of cutting is by far my favorite cutting technique and I’m happy to say that I have perfected this look but never stopped the learning curve in this field. Always you can learn something new! All right! Go for it! You’re not going to be disappointed, and this look is so easy to style! You can do it straight when you style this look or you can bend your hair with a wand where it’s straight with a curve in it. You should curl it, too! With this look you can’t really go wrong. The beauty services that I use are Maria’s Koukla brand products. This look is great with a mousse (Aphrodite Argan Mousse) and a sticky paste-like consistency (Apollo spiking paste) and finishes it off with a spray of light (Athena shine spray). Essentially this look is perfect for everybody, the list goes on and on, a mom business women stylist world traveler. That’s why in our industry this hairstyle and cut is a staple and everyone ends up loving this look!

Feathered Layers

QA with Perfectionist Stylist / Hair How would you describe this look? My guest had Box Black’s color journey and transformed into this amazing multi-dimensional development. I am a teacher of Paul Mitchell, and clearly I am using and recommending the services of PM. To order to preserve the integral value of the hair I put in the color formulation in Olaplex (a rebounding agent). The volume created for the hair type and amount by the perfect shape is my favorite part. When cutting, there aren’t so many different techniques like how there is in the color world, but when you grasp the cutting dynamics, you can start to bend the rules. When a stylist will find the perfect guest magic color and style! The suggestions that someone feels about it? The key factors why this look works are breaking down. Typically, Salon guests never worry about these variables. For example, density can only produce the amount of volume the look has. It is also possible to create the amount of texture in the hair only in medium or rough hair. Although now, using hair body enhancement items like Paul Mitchell Extra Body Category, you can take fine low density hair and build a similar shape. I’m also thinking about the pro tools they need. Communicating with your stylist is the first thing to remember. Great for straight thick hair

QA with Colorist / Hairstylist How would you describe this look? I got a lot of coloring ideas for this one. Start by coloring those eye framing bangs in tones of chocolate / gold. We should paint free hand around the face with vibrant colors to emphasize her cheekbones as it’s a bold and funky overall look. We may add a few chocolate or burgundy highlights with a matching base to give this a subtle look. Or if the user is able to play, give it some pastel shading at the ends. I love how different textures and layers can emerge every time the client combes, giving it a new form. The suggestions that someone feels about it? If you want to make your haircut look beautiful even after leaving a salon, make sure that you take good care of your hair fabric. Because your hairstylist may be making a perfect haircut (shape), but it won’t show if it doesn’t take care of post-care. Using a serum and in-salon spa treatments and daily trimming, I mean a professional shampoo / proper conditioning. To hold your look in place, this is a basic requirement. Customers facing square or round will appreciate the face-framing layers. Because of this bounce in the crown, round heads will get volume and height making the face appear longer. These surfaces around the jaw can be contoured by square jaws. Get some good color asymmetric bangs or go nuts. For a dirty look it can be mocked and for more professional / official looks it can be ironed sleeked.

Blunt Bob Cut medium length

Please bear in mind that you may also need to debulk with this look and take weight out so that shaping can be done. Once, depending on your hair’s thickness. Those with curly hair are still going to have to blast to remove the coils. Then curl with a flat iron, you don’t have to blow-dry straight. That’s too much pain! Only blow-dry, then wave or curl and put 100 percent dry. If with a curling wand it’s easier to curl hair then do what does! Finger the curls out until afterwards the perfect look is set with hairspray. If you have fine hair, this look can also be accomplished, but bear in mind that you may need to consider adding hair such as VoMor tape-in extensions.

Round Heads Medium Haircut

Salon Owner QA How would you describe this look? I think this form is a classic shag. The best thing about it is the layering sum and the positioning of the eyes. In this type, there are no horizontal lines. It is a simply layered haircut that makes it very diffused and customized to the client’s needs. All hair was lifted to or above 90 degrees in order to achieve a lightweight performance. Any advice that someone thinks about it? This look is built to be in a style that is very lived-in. To highlight the layers and movement, the client is best suited to wear their natural texture. To maximize the form and have a contemporary expression, styling should be minimal. This haircut can be made for any form of the head. It is possible to adjust the fringe and layers in length to flatter anybody. The new shag is now a phenomenon and can be worn in a traditional or high-fashion way. To preserve this look, the best products would be sea salt spray textured spray textured powder or dry shampoo. Thicker Lob Cut

QA with Stylist

How would you characterize this look? I love this look because it’s fun and youthful, but I love it most because it’s simple! Throw in some curl-enhancing product (or any product that can tame frizz) and let it dry air. Boom! Free to go! Any advice that someone thinks about it? It’s a flexible look! For a sleek look with movement and volume, it can be blown-out, but I love it most with naturally curly hair for my clients! Obviously, when you fashion this look, you need to use the product to help tame frizz! I love the Wavemaker of DevaCurl. It is based on cream and gives a great hold without crunchy curls. You can put that in and dry the hair or use a diffuser and curl scrunch. To give added boost, I always have my clients spread their hair upside down. If necessary, tame unruly curls with a curling iron in the small barrel, but remember to change the direction you curl the hair so that curls look as natural as possible. This look adds a lot of fullness around the face and may run the risk of being triangle skin if the layering is not appropriate. And remember to ask your stylist for movement for face framing pieces and long layers and to minimize bulk! Note, this look is about your natural curls rocking! Don’t worry. Let it be a bit wild because it makes this style fun!

Hairdresser / Owner QA How do you describe this look? This is one of my favorite looks on a shag of mine! It has a volume of texture and tons of layers. My sweet client Aimee has an enormous amount of hair and because of the weight change this look helps with her drying / styling time. It’s really an easy look. How would you characterize this look?

Blonde Medium Hairstyle

I’d describe this look as a beach lob without any effort. This customer wanted a low maintenance cut and color, so we decided to give her a blunt cut lob with seamless layering to make her move. With the color we chose to go for more of a lived-in blonde, it makes it easier for her to grow out and she doesn’t have to come to the salon for a touch-up every 3 weeks! How effortless it is is is the coolest thing about this style – whether you wear it straight or wavy it always looks stylish and elegant. The suggestions that someone feels about it? Thick hairstyles like this are for you if you want an effortless living in cut. For the low maintenance consumer who still needs to be on the bandwagon, it’s certainly. This works for most styles of fine / medium hair and for a fuller look it can be built up with the right items like dry shampoo and texture spray.
