I used Paul Mitchell Skylights to create the space and break up her previous color. I went back through the hair once that cycle was done and improved the color of the mid shaft with Paul Mitchell The Demi. The Demi is a semi-permanent hair color that glides through the hair with a gel-like viscosity. This added beautiful brightness and managed excessive heat while helping to balance the natural color with the secondary color. I reached across the color wheel for the ends and selected a color from Paul Mitchell The Color Xg to soften the remaining tone of the pigment to add softness to the ends of the color. To balance it, the cut was determined by where the hair color resided. This guest wanted to keep as long as possible, but they had a lot of body and motion. As a stylist with excellent communication and inspiring images, we were given an idea of where to put the color and how to show it with a perfect haircut. I love the similarities between warm and cool tones that make the mix pop up. I feel like playing on those different tones! Ask yourself where the color is currently living. For example, you already have light hair and there’s too much upkeep or you’ve got dark brown and you’re trying to get more lightness back into your hair. Often you also have to weigh whether the essential quality of the hair will endure the process of lightening at the ends to build this look. This color technique is treading right now and for everyone there are many different colors and positioning ideas to make a low maintenance sombre or a dramatic guy!
Black to Caramel Ombre
This is a caramel color molten base melting into hot caramel ends. The hair was screened and then for the blended mixture colormelted. A straightener that makes the color pop was used to produce the soft waves. Balayage grows so natural that for someone who wants low maintenance and less frequent visits to the salon it is a great look. Caramel tones are a great option for brunettes looking to go lighter but not blonde. This color is not restrictive. For every type of hair and face shape, it can work. To order to keep the color from fading, I also recommend a color safe shampoo and conditioner. After any color service, a leave-in treatment is also good for bringing moisture back to your hair. I always recommend a soothing heat to help keep your hair clean and light.
A with Founder Level Iv Stylist I loved to create this look on Natasha’s naturally curly hair. The strong contrast between the highlights and the lowlights is the best thing about it. This technique shows the essence and strength that makes her curls pop! This curly technique is low maintenance and ideal for highlights twice a year for the curly girl who likes to frequent the salon. Proper home treatment with a sulfate-free shampoo or (co-wash) and once a week a deep conditioner is ideal for preserving the hair’s health. Curly cuts will also keep the ends safe 4-6 times a year.

Copper Red with Subtle Caramel Balayage Highlights
This is the time of year pumpkin sweaters spiced lattes and hair color drops! I’m calling this one hot apple cider caramel. I love the quality and size of the hair color. Hand painting here and there a couple of pieces of caramel adds a touch of brightness without removing its beautiful base color. Ask your stylist to stick to a touch of red with caramel or caramel. You really want the colors to blend well together. I used a mixture of Rb’s by Paul Mitchell and Pm Shines to tone her highlights for the base. The reds of Paul Mitchell are great! She has naturally curly hair and I slice to lighten the weight a little in several layers. Keeping your curls moisturized is so important to make sure you do regular at-home conditioning treatments. I always recommend getting a deeper session in the lounge once in a while for my clients. This guest was done with Surface’s Curls line and I gave her a few loose curls to show off her hair.
Chocolate Balayage
Owner I love this subtle balayage because it offers a multi-dimensional effect to someone who doesn’t want a drastic change. The color grows slowly offering a low maintenance maintenance when the hair color is not strongly contrasting. The subtle highlights often offer a glow to a youthful feeling around the eye. For almost anyone, the haircut is an ideal haircut. If bangs were included, I wouldn’t suggest it for an oblong face shape. You may take the hair back or leave it down. For individuals with a small body wave or curls, this haircut is highly recommended. The layers allow the curls and waves to be more visibly defined and true to their shape. This color and cut are perfect for all lifestyles from a new mother to an independent adult to a professional career woman and anyone in between!
Dark Brown Hair Sunkissed Caramel Balayage
Our inspiration was Kate Middleton! We used a surface spray array of styles and a 1 1/4? Wand curling. This look begins with a great spray for heat protection and priming. I like using the Bumble and Bumble hairdresser oil spray on clean towel-dried hair with 5 to 10 sprays throughout the entire head. Use the B.B. Thickening mousse which fits in the root and then pulls down to the ends for extra fashion keeping. Then spray a textured hairspray until completely dry with a medium-sized circular comb. The simplest and cleanest way to get the curl pattern you want is to segment the hair! Take inch-thick sections and twice cover the hair off the face to keep the ends out. Switch the direction in the back sections to create a very all-encompassing look. Once you crack the curls with your fingers, spray the hairspray so that the hair has time to set and lock in.
This look is great for anyone directly interested in improving their natural color as it provides some dimension and contrast without eliminating it. When styled and thrown in a bun, it looks good so it’s an incredibly low maintenance color!
Mahogany
The best thing about this look of mahogany is that it was a rose-gold attempt in fact. We just had to take it in steps because her hair is a level 3/4 of course, so we just went to this round with what lightened her hair. I tried to do this without losing the length because she wanted to keep it longer and that’s the beautiful color that we both ended up loving! I’d characterize this as a cool brown silenced mahogany. This needs to be maintained. Fashion shades will either fade away or become much faster than a standard shade, particularly if color-safe items are not used at home. I would suggest a color change every 6-8 weeks if you want to preserve this beautiful shade. This is for your average woman who enjoys keeping it easy but also enjoyable. It’s a perfect shade of drop. Before blowdrying, this look was styled with Electric London preparation spray and smoothing cream and then flat ironed waved and finished off for some gloss and shine with Joico Beach Shake. Soft Caramel Highlights on Dark Hair
A with Vanced Academy Colourist Student Caramel tones warmed up and complemented her skin tone so well and helped to give her a natural overall glow. After many years of box dye her hair black, we were both extremely happy with how light her hair helped her to get her, which is a very rare opportunity. On this day, the hair gods were with us. Confidence in the process. It takes time for beauty to be patient. Trust the stylist of your hair and the views they offer you. With a layered haircut, balayage tends to look best as it helps to show off the different tones and dimensions in the hair. It is best followed by curves or a form of gentle wave. That color could certainly be pulled off by someone with a tanned hot skin like no one’s business. An easy way to tell you which tones match you best is to look at your arm’s color of veins. Yellow veins you can suck warm tones like rich brown caramels. You’re more on the cooler side of the blue veins and ashy shades or light blondes look better. You are lucky if you have both painted veins. You could do any job with color! That color is matched by dark brown or hazel eyes and you are sure to stop people on their paths and hit the floor with their jaws! Caramel Brown Balayage with Master Stylist on Long Hair
