Today, Microsoft is set to release Google Chrome for Windows Defender. The Chrome extension is designed to stop malware from malicious links being loaded into Pcs. It also has a phishing scanner built into it to prevent phishing emails from operating. Although Google already has its defense against malicious links, it can make your browser even safer by adding the Microsoft plugin. It is understood that Windows Defender is 99 percent successful against phishing attacks, which is much better than what Chrome or Firefox provides. Users aren’t needed to manually update the extension on a regular basis. Each time you click on a connection Microsoft will check and warn you against its established malicious Urls database. If you feel it is a false alarm at the end of Microsoft, you will of course have the option to continue with the connection anyway. The extension will offer real-time security just like the Windows Defender program on Pc and will constantly update itself with a database of known malware / phishing Urls. Microsoft’s end-user license agreement includes sharing the browser data with Microsoft which may be of interest to some users because of the recent Facebook and Cambridge Analytica scandals. Installing the extension for Microsoft Windows Defender will not prevent Chrome from operating on the security features. However, when you visit a website that is marked by both Chrome and Microsoft as malicious you will be informed by Microsoft as the extension takes precedence over the security features of Chrome in-build.
