One friend in particular her ex-boyfriend and old love Wilmer Valderrama has spent considerable time showing his support at Lovato’s bedside. In her YouTube video, Lovato revealed Demi Lovato: Simply complicated that she’s “never loved anyone like I loved Wilmer … and like I always love him.” The documentary was filmed a year after so many were curious to know how their relationship continued after the break-up. The two split together after six years and exchanged matching declarations on their respective accounts. “This was an incredibly difficult decision for both of us but we knew that we are better friends than anything else. We’re still respectful of each other. Thanks to everyone who has given us love and support over the years. “Various news outlets have released information showing that Lovato and Valderrama have kept up their promise to support one another. “Lovato is resting and recovering while her entire family and Valderrama are there to help her during her recovery,” said a source to E! NewsTMZ said that for “about 5 hours” at one time, Valderrama sat at Lovato’s bedside.
