It may seem hard to get your tasks done while watching the children so why not get them involved? There are plenty of family home projects that the family can do together to make the home look better “and give you time on weekends to bond with. 1. Painting a wall

Over the years, walls are stained by hands rubbing them, painting tends to chip off the build-up of dust and so on. So, why not function as a family together to add a new layer and revitalize the walls? It’s a good opportunity to customize and it could be the first time since you purchased the house to apply a new coat of paint. Without having anything on their clothing, you should teach your children how to use a paint roller to lay down a tarp or drop cloth and paint. If they re dress them in old clothes a little too young. It’s a good chance they feel involved without having to worry about a mess. 2. Making and Installing Concrete Steps One project is doing and installing concrete steps to improve the appearance of your yard. You can teach your kids how to pour the mortar using concrete mix and mold from a home improvement store, and then design or decorate the stone before it becomes rough. Just be sure they don’t get their hands on too much. You can then teach them how to dig the holes, even though you should be the one to lay down the steps to be secure. This gives them a sense of duty and leaves a lovely walkway across your yard. 3. Installing Solar Lights

You can buy solar light fixtures that you can mount as a family if your porch lights don t fully illuminate the backyard. By putting one as an example in the garden, you and your children will determine where each lighting fixture should be going around the backyard. It won t need underground wires to be installed, as the sun powered the fixtures during the day. Your kids can easily drive them into the soil and they don’t have an end that’s too sharp. However, you can supervise your kids as they re-place them to avoid injury of any kind. 8/8.123 Source: iStock 4. Maintaining Flower beds

Weeding flower beds need to be regularly done from spring to nearly winter. Parents can pay between $210 and $310 to have their lawn tended professionally, or they could get the children involved. Young kids may find this especially fun like a contest or competition of some kind. If you teach them what to look for they can help you find all the weeds and stop your flowers pulling out. Depending on the season this could also be an opportunity to plant new flowers. You should take them to a kindergarten and let them pick flowers and then encourage them to plant. They can then watch them grow and flourish so they have their own piece of garden. 5.
