Tommy ramone He was born on January 29, 1952 in Budapest, Hungary, but grew up in New York.

He was the first drummer and is currently the only living founding member of the American punk rock band called The Ramones.

Some time later, he entered a recording studio, called “Dick charles“, where he worked as an assistant, learning a lot about sound and also about music.
One of his most comforting jobs within that place was when he worked as an assistant engineer at the Jimmy Hendrix Personal.

This experience motivated him to form a band with his friends. Johnny ramone, Joey ramone Y Dee Dee Ramone, which they called The Ramones hinting at the family.

Initially, Joey was in charge of the drums, while Dee Dee Y Tommy they sang, but with time, Tommy noticed the potential of Joey as a leader, as well as having a great voice.
For this reason, they decided that Joey had to go on to sing, but they couldn’t find anyone to replace him on the drums, until Tommy took on the role and became the drummer for The Ramones.

His management in the band helped shape the spirit of the Ramones.
An example of this is having composed the theme “Blitzkrieg Bop“, considered by many fans as the best of the group, and even defined on many occasions by critics as the first punk song.

His place as a drummer in the band lasted until 1978, after having played on 3 albums and in several live recitals, having reaped quite a few successes.

When he recorded his last studio album, “Rocket to Russia”, decided to stop playing drums in the group, and for that reason they decided that Marky I had to replace it.
But Tommy He did not completely abandon the band, but changed roles, becoming the producer, in addition to being in charge of editing the records.
