In the seven-year analysis conducted by the University of Oxford’s Clinical Trial Service Unit and Epidemiological Studies Unit at the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) Congress in Barcelona, researchers from the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences confirmed the value of eating fruit everyday. The research has looked at more than 400,000 people from China without a history of cardiovascular disease, according to The Telegraph. The researchers reported the subjects ‘ fruit consumption, splitting their intake into five categories: never once a month to three times a week, four to six days a week and hourly. Our findings showed that the more fruit people ate the more our cardiovascular disease risk decreased. More precisely, the researchers found that a reduced risk of 15 per cent was the difference between subjects who never ate fruit and subjects who ate it regularly. For ischemic stroke which is the most common type of stroke, the risk rate among those who ate fruit daily dropped by 25 per cent. And the rate fell by 40 per cent for hemorrhagic stroke. “Cardiovascular disease including ischaemic heart disease and stroke is the world’s leading cause of death,” Dr Huaidong Du of Oxford University wrote. “Our data clearly indicates that eating fresh fruit can reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease including ischaemic heart disease and stroke particularly haemorrhagic stroke. And it’s not just that the more fruits you consume the lower the CVD risk. It does say that eating more fruit is better compared to eating less or no fruit. “Similarly regular consumers of fruit had a slightly lower blood pressure with lower systolic blood pressure of 3.4 mmHg and lower diastolic blood pressure of 4.1 mmHg. What kind of fruit would you eat? The most benefit came from eating 150 grams of fruit a day.

You will will find that when you are dehydrated, the blood pressure decreases as this allows for smoother blood circulation throughout the body. Your heart can pump over 100 beats per minute in cases of extreme hydration and cause dangerous and painful palpitations to your heart. Stay hydrated to prevent any chest pain, and talk to your doctor if you stay hydrated again and your heart rate is still above your normal rate.
