The Warlord 1965 – Movie The Warlord 1965

Franklin J. Schaffner directed, in 1965, this American production, a historical genre film based on a play written by Leslie Stevens.

The film was starred by, among others, Charlton Heston, Richard Boone and Rosemary Forsyth.

The action takes place in the middle of the 11th century. A small village on the Normandy coast is attacked by the Frisians, a people whose customs were very similar to those of the Vikings.

To reestablish authority, a gentleman, known as Chrysagon, was sent to the site. He arrives in the village with the company of his squire and his brother, a troubled character named Draco.
