Son of Theresa Volmer and of Eugene lang, his mother was Catholic and his father Jewish. Graduated from Swarthmore College with a postgraduate degree in English Literature and began his career before the cameras in the early 80’s.
Currently a renowned actor in theater, film and television, he has also dedicated himself to writing plays.
On the big screen, he has worked in dozens of films, among which we can mention “Twice in a life”, drama starring Gene Hackman and Amy Madigan that marked his film debut in 1985, “Hunter”, “Last Exit Brooklyn” , “Colleagues by force”, comedy in which he worked with Michael J. Fox and James Woods, “The devil’s advocate”, “Tombstone: the legend of Wyatt Earp”, “Conspiracy in the shade”, thriller that had to Donald Sutherland, Charlie Sheen and Linda Hamilton as protagonists, “The awakening of innocence”, “Trixie”, “Gods and Generals”, “Public Enemies”, “The men who stared at the goats”, “Avatar”, “Christina” and “White Irish Drinkers”, among others.
On television, his regular roles are remembered in the series “Crime story“, Where he played David abrams between 1986 and 1988, “Liberty! The American Revolution”, Where he played the legendary George Washington during 1997; between 2000 and 2001 it was Ben charnquist on “The Fugitive”; and he also had guest appearances in many other programs, including “The Outer Limits”, “Ed“,”Law & Order: Special Victims Unit“,”Law and Order: Criminal Action“,”Law“,”Psych” Y “Terra Nova”.
In another aspect of your career, Lang was co-artistic director with Carlin glynn Y Lee Grant from the famous Actor’s Studio between 2004 and 2006.
Lang, who is currently working on 4 upcoming movies, has also worked on a few TV movies.
In regards to his personal life, he is married to Kristina watson since 1980 and together they have 5 children: Lucy, Jane, Noah, Grace, Y Daniel
