The actress Soledad Miranda was born on July 9, 1943 in Seville. She was also known by the stage names of Susann Korda or Susan Korday.
With an early vocation, and niece of the singer and actress Paquita Rico, her debut took place in the cinema when she was only 17 years old, when the director Jesús Franco gave her a small role in his film “La reina del Tabarín”.
From then on, he continued to participate in a score of films, playing all genres, comedies, spaghetti-westerns or adventures, although, however, his work went quite unnoticed. We can cite some titles from this period such as Lullaby, “Four and a few weddings”, “A day in Lisbon” or “Weekend”.
However, in 1970 he meets again with Jesús Franco, who offers him to star in the film “Count Dracula”, along with Christopher Lee. From her work on it, and in this same year, the actress worked on several feature films of this genre, becoming from one day to the next a muse of that genre. Thus, he appeared in tapes such as “Cuadecuc, vampir”, “Sex Charade”, “Vampyros Lesbos”, “The Devil Came From Akasava” or “Juliette”, among others, all of them from the year 1970.
Regarding her private life, Soledad was married to José Manuel da Conceiçao Simões, a Portuguese car racing driver, with whom she had a son.
The actress had made some forays into the musical world, and had already released two albums with themes such as “What makes girls cry”, “The color of love” or “The truth”.
Soledad Miranda died on August 18, 1970, when her career was beginning to take off, due to a traffic accident she suffered on a Lisbon highway.
