Security Researcher Discovers Brute Force Hack to Circumvent Apple iOs PasscodesByNitish Singh-June 23, 2018.311 Figure 1 Picture Courtesy of idownloadblog The passcode function has been part of iOs since 2014 and operates through a four- or six-digit numerical passcode that makes it almost impossible for iOs to break through. Hacker House’s security researcher found a way to circumvent the number of times an incorrect passcode can be entered enabling him to run all combinations and unlock any iOs device. A security researcher at Hacker House, a cybersecurity firm, has managed to bypass the security passcode feature of Apple iOs and get access to an iPad or iPhone. The hack also operates on the Os ‘ newest available version, iOs 11.3. Since 2014, the passcode feature has been around on iOs devices, and debuted on iOs 8. Unlike most other digital devices that use an iPhone or iPad security feature, both hardware and software make it almost impossible for anyone to hack into the devices. Security researcher Matthew Hickey has confirmed that an iPhone or iPad and an Apple Lightning cable are all a user’s needs. The workaround succeeds in bypassing the 10-attempt cap after which iOs apps reset hard to themselves. The exploit will allow anybody to input unlimited passcodes before they find the correct one. A Brute Force attack will simply send the device a long string of inputs with all possible 4 and 6-digit passcodes that eventually break the device open. /vimeo.com/276506763Dark Web to Become Criminalized by Law in Germany

ByBill Toulas-March 16 2019.319 Those who make the existence of the dark web possible through the provision of services that face up to three years in prison. The German parliament is about to vote on the new law next week while amendments that occur. The dark web is a part of the internet that is not indexed by web search engines, so a special configuration or authorization program is needed for someone to access it. It is usually encrypted and used for malicious activities and illegal information sharing. Examples include child pornography fraud programs such as phishing hacking botnets gun sales of illicit gambling drugs and even terrorism. With all that going on there, the German state has decided that it would be the same thing to criminalize the act of supplying the technical infrastructure for the dark web sites and marketplaces. The federal-state legislative body called “Bundesrat” yesterday voted in favor of the new legislation and the German federal parliament will review the draft law and determine whether to pass it or not in the following week. Since there is no real or convincing reason not to vote for this new law, we expect the crackdown on the suppliers of dark web infrastructure in Germany to take shape soon. Such services have already been put in the position of “abettors” by existing legislation but any grey areas will be cleared up for good with the new law. Those found guilty of aiding in the trafficking of illegal content will be sentenced to up to three years in prison. As the amendment states: ‘ Someone providing an Internet-based service whose access to and functionality is restricted by special technical provisions and whose intent or operation is to encourage or promote the conduct of unlawful acts within the scope of sentence 2 shall face up to three years ‘ imprisonment or a fine if the offense is not covered by more severe penalties in other cases The entire package has been told by criminal lawyer David Schietinger to Der Spiegelused exclusively for illegal activity.ByBill Toulas-March 16 2019.319 Those who make the existence of the dark web possible through the provision of services that face up to three years in prison.
