At no point did Seacrest ever discuss the situation during Sunday’s red carpet coverage. Additionally, even though the campaigns # MeToo and # TimesUp were such a significant part of the entertainment industry in 2017 the E! Network haven’t spoken as much about that as you would expect. As The Washington Post pointed out when Seacrest interviewed Christopher Plummer they didn’t even discuss the fact that Plummer had replaced a man accused of sexual assault by Kevin Spacey. The next person Henson spoke to was ABC’s Wendi Mclendon-Covey after the Seacrest interview. When asked how she was doing, Henson said “I’m fine now that I’m in your company.” This statement could be interpreted as saying that Henson is doing much better now that she’s no longer speaking to Seacrest.
