Actor Roberto San Martín was born on April 26, 1976 in Havana, Cuba.

Since he was born, it can be said that he has been related to the world of acting, since he is the son of actress Susana Pérez and the film director and writer Roberto A. San Martin. And, although he started different studies and worked in different professions, he ended up turning towards acting.

He is a well-known actor in Spain for his participation in several of the most popular series on our television, although he has also worked in theater and film.

On stage, Roberto has starred in a large number of works, such as “La Celestina”, “Ícaros”, “En la cama”, “Platonov” or “Madre Coraje”, the last two directed by Gerardo Vega.

In the cinema he has starred in some shorts such as “The pilots do not wear a helmet”, “The snail” or “The gift”. And he also worked in some feature films in his country such as “Enchanted” or “Between cyclones.”

Due to the popularity that the actor had in his country. the Spanish film director Benito Zambrano chose him, in 2005, to be in charge of selecting some actors who could act as musicians for his film “Habana Blues”. Roberto also presented his file to try to get a supporting character, and they gave him one of the main characters, Tito. It is about a Cuban musician who decides to leave the island to settle in Spain.

The actor turned his character into real, since as a result of this work he decided to move to Madrid.

In 2006, the actor starred in the film “Next week (without fail)”, in which he shared the poster with Imanol Arias, and, in this same year, he gave life to an aristocrat in the film “La dama boba” . From the rest of his filmography we can highlight “I am a wimp”, “Atasco en la nacional” or “Guerrilla”.

As for television, the actor, upon arriving in Spain, had already worked in some programs on the small screen in his country, such as “A mover” or “Cuerda viva”, as well as in some series such as “Violetas de agua”, “The women of Pocholo” or “Personal stories”.
