Rashad McCants is a well-known basketball player of American origin, famous for his current participation with the Minnesota Timberwolves of the National Basketball Association.
Rashad Dion McCants was born on September 25, 1984 in the city of Asheville, located within the state of North Carolina, USA.
Inside the playing field his position is that of Shooting Guard and usually wears the number one shirt. Its maximum height is 1.93 meters and it weighs approximately 103 kilograms.
His beginning in the world of basketball occurred within the Edwin High School, within his hometown. Eventually his family had to move to New hapshire where he attended the New Hampton School.
Within his new high school he had a really important role, since his ability stood out excessively from the rest of the young people his age.
So much so, that he managed to consecrate two consecutive years with the New Hampshire Player of the Year: in the 2001 and in the 2002.
Despite his impressive individual ability, he was never able to lead his team to win the state championship. This did not prevent that in the year of his graduation he was chosen to integrate the McDonald’s All-American Team.
Within this tournament he met two of his future companions in the Tar Heels: Raymond Felton Y Sean May. The three together decided to attend the University of North Carolina, where the spectacular became famous Michael Jordan.
Within the university he also fulfilled the role of star to perfection. For his second year he led the entire nation in scoring and was elected to the All-American Team.
Still, the relations between him and his coaches did not seem to be entirely good, so he made some comments that led to controversy among the specialized media.
