Pilar Bardem was born on March 14, 1939 in Seville, into a family of artists. His parents were actors, and his brother is Juan Antonio Bardem, a prestigious film director. His children would also follow the same steps later.

When the Prime Minister supported the war on Iraq, she was expelled along with other interpreters from the hemicycle for wearing anti-war T-shirts, and 24 hours after this event, she became president of the “Culture against war” association. He has always participated in the fight against gender violence and others in accordance with his manifest left-wing ideology.
Twice nominated for the Goya Award, one of them won for “No one will talk about us when we are dead”. Among many other recognitions, he also has two Actors Union Awards, one for the same film and the other for “Tremulous flesh”.
