The actor Peter shinkoda native of the city of Montreal (Canada), he studied Civil Engineering at the Western Ontario University and later, already in the United States, he studied film and television post-production at UCLA.
In the late 1990s, he quit his job as an assistant director to focus on acting.
Since then, he has worked with stars like Will Smith, Ben affleck Y Jet Li, in different feature films including “Paycheck“(2003),”I robot“(2004),”War“(2007) or”The Hole“(2009).
At the moment Shinkoda is working on the character of Dai, in the new science fiction series produced by Steven Spielberg, “Falling Skies“, whose release is scheduled for June 2011.
Previously he had different participations in several episodes of the series “Kingdom Hospital“,”The L Word“,”Supernatural“,”Stargate SG-1“or”Sanctuary“, among others; in addition to having filmed several telefilms, among which may be mentioned”Crash and Byrnes“(2001),”10.5“(2004) and”Riverworld“(2010).
