Biography:

The pianist and composer named Pablo Aguirre was born in 1961 in the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. From a very young age he has awakened a certain interest in music, that is how he began his piano studies with a few more years at the Conservatory of Buenos Aires and Music Pedagogy at the CAECE University. And later on Aguirre continued his studies, complementing them with composition and orchestration with the teachers Manolo Juárez, Marta Lambertini, Guillermo Graetzer, Roberto Caamaño and Lito Valle.
Now converted into a composer, Pablo is distinguished by his compositional, personal and characteristic style that can be described through the synthesis of elements of Argentine popular music, in them there is Tango and Folklore, which Aguirre develops and unites with the classical structures and harmonic concepts of the twentieth century.
Although the name speaks of a certain influence of composers such as Ginastera, Villalobos and Waldo de los Ríos, his Tango is modern and develops free from the mandate of jazz, in a new and unique style, as described by the refined criticism of this impeccable musician. He develops incredibly in the field of composition of chamber and orchestral works.
This distinguished man has his own project which deals with the “Aguirre-Rocco Duo”, which is very distinguished with its own enviable and admired style.
Today Aguirre also composes for his repertoire for transverse flute and piano, which he himself plays on the piano together with the renowned flutist Luis Rocco, the same one with whom he forms the duo, and which he presented for the first time at the Salón Dorado del Teatro Colón in 2002.
Years later, Pablo obtained the National Stimulus for the Creation Grant from the National Fund for the Arts and, when 1987 arrived, he obtained the First Prize from the University of Belgrano in the “Fusion Folklore” category. Continuing with his awards, in 1993 Aguirre obtained, as a member of the La Posta Trio, the Trimar Prize of the Argentine Council of Music of UNESCO and the following year the Trimalca Prize of the International Council of Music of UNESCO, and with them also he has released six discs with various compositions of his own.
In his impeccable career he has offered more than 400 concerts in Argentina and Uruguay, among others at the Colón Theater, the General San Martín Theater and the Cervantes National Theater and his compositions for chamber music have been performed in Brazil, Uruguay, Spain, Italy. , France, Sweden, Switzerland and the United States of America.
