Mirwais Ahmadzai
He is the son of an Afghan father and an Italian mother born in Swiss on 1961. He grew up and spent most of his life in the city of Paris, capital of France.

He was always a fan of music, so as soon as he could he formed his own band which he called Taxi Girl, back in the beginning of 1980.

In this band he played the guitar and they were carried away by the punk rock field that was emerging with great force since England. They were really very successful, but just like punk, they were destined to end at some point.

This happened in 1988 when Mirwais decided to put this project aside and move on to something more innovative. Thus formed Juliette et les Independants, with his girlfriend Juliette.

Then in the mid ’90sHe decided to put aside making music, to go on to compose and produce it, thus finding an impressive vein from which he came out very well.

On France he is known as one of the leaders of the progressive electronic music movement, with some dance and mixes between funk, punk, disco music and finally pop.

Perhaps this strange mixture of things was what caught the attention of the pop diva Madonna, who called him to make him one of the producers of his last three albums.

In this way, Mirwais worked alongside her on “Music“,”American Life” Y “Confessions on a Dance Floor”. In these discs he is credited in topics such as “Impressive Instant“,”Don’t tell me“,”Hollyood” Y “Nobody Likes Me“, among others.

The relationship that the two artists generated based on these works has brought them together a lot, making a good working group, as well as music that everyone loves.

When to Madonna they asked him to sing the main theme of “James Bond: Die Another Day”, The first person he thought of to write it was him, so together they created the Soundtrack.

He is currently putting a lot of effort into the project called “YAS“Where he is supposed to hope to create something that aims to be Arabic music from Avant-garde.

The complete album will be released early in 2008 and will be played by the singer Yasmine hamdan. His idea is to improve the image that the Western world has regarding Arabs, creating a cultural connection point that erases the traces left by terrorism.
