(born 8 December 1958 in London, England) is a songwriter and artist record producer. He was also the guitarist and composer for the Tidal Force rock band of the 1990s. As a musician, Blakey earned several records of gold and platinum.
Career
When he was hired as a resident producer for Hansa Studios in Berlin, he started his professional career as a producer when he was just 19. He served at Atico Records as a composer and session drummer for Tidal Force, and was subsequently invited to work full time at Atico, ultimately serving as AR Chief from 1991 to 1994. Over the next few years, he founded three independent record companies on both coasts, while also supplying music for several film and television shows including Jackass: The Movie and Shaft. He currently works with his company Electra Star Management as a consultant.
