Steven Spielberg is an American and a founding pioneer of the new Hollywood era. Born to a restaurateur and concert pianist mother Leah Posner in Cincinnati Ohio, and electrical engineer father Arnold Spielberg Steven Spielberg grew up in an Orthodox Jewish household. His father took up work with RCA in 1950, and Spielberg had to move to Haddon Township New Jersey with the whole family.
