Mario I study in the Emerson College in Boston, and has always devoted himself mainly to theater and comedy.
A renowned theater actor, Cantone has participated in Broadway in the role of ‘Buzz‘in the dramatic comedy of Terrence McNally “Sees it! Value! Compassion!”And in the role of Stephano in “The Tempest” of Shakespeare at the Public Theater. Off Broadway, Cantone was the ´Terry´ original in “The Crumple Zone”, ´Bennyin “June Moon” YLump´ in the work of Shakespeare “Taming of the Shrew”. He garnered critical acclaim for the work that received a Tony Award nomination: “Laugh Whore”.
His participation in film and television is relatively recent. In fact he made his television debut, participating in an episode of “New York Police” in 1994.
That same year he made his film debut in the drama directed by Robert Redford “Quiz Show: The Dilemma“, and in the comedy in which he also participated Sandra Bullock “Who Do I Gotta Kill?“. Since 2000, Cantone plays Anthony Marantino, the wedding planner of the hit series “Sex and the City”, a role he also played in the movie of the same name, released in 2008.
Cantone He has worked in irreverent comedies in a large number of venues including Carnegie Hall, where he participated as a guest of the great jazz musician Shirley bassey, to performances at Atlantic City Resorts and at Caroline’s on Broadway. His routines have included musical parodies of Judy garland, Jim Morrison, Peggy lee, Bruce springsteen, Y Liza minnelli.
