Lilian Thuram was born on January 1, 1972 in Pointe a Pitre, France.

He emigrated from his city to Paris, at the age of nine, and soon developed his soccer power in local clubs.
In the beginning he played as a forward, but when he arrived at Monaco, he began to play as a right-back.
